Nocturnal

Snowy Owl by *cycoze on deviantART

I think I am turning into a nocturnal animal. Ever since I graduated from school, I have been sleeping at 5 or 6 in the morning, only to wake up at 3 or 4 in the evening. But last week was the most extreme. I would wake up at 5 or 6 in the evening, and from there, would last till the next day at 5 or 6 in the evening again. A short nap would do it, before I am up and about in the house, lasting the whole day, till it's in the mid-afternoon/evenings. It's kind of like sleeping for a day, then skipping sleep the next day.

I know it's not healthy for my body, but I have already gotten used to it, so much that I can't shut my eyes. In fact I rarely blink now. But after using the computer for a long while, my brain starts hurting.

It seems like I am wide awake when it is Twilight.

The movie has nothing to do with my sleepless nights, nor am I becoming a vampire. I just find it rather peaceful to be surfing the net and watching TV at night. There's no one around, the internet connection is much better, the loadings are faster. And there's no one to bug you or disturb you when you're engrossed in something.

I managed to complete a 1000 piece puzzle in two nights. I just have to glue them together (which is of course the toughest part) before hanging it in a frame.

Well, I wasn't the only one who succeeded in something. Junior, my dog who sleeps on my bed with me, stayed up all night with me to catch cockroaches and lizards (He even killed a beetle)! Don't worry, my house isn't infested with pests, I let him out of my house, near the stairs to let him "enjoy hunting", being a hunting dog that he is.

By sunrise, Junior was knocked out, and there he was, dozed off, and spread widely on my bed, with his belly facing the ceiling.

Just like this:

Anyway, I do hope that this habit dies off soon, before I start schooling again. If not, it's going to be really tiring and I might doze off in between lectures!

Speaking of school, I wonder when our results will be released. And I have no idea on what my 12 choices are going to be. We'll see.

And today's the outing day that I was supposed to have with Shera and the other girls. But I can't make it! Oh well.. Shera, I emailed you, telling you all the things that I wanted to tell you. I do hope you forgive me for not being able to make it for this outing, I promise I'll make it to the next one, your party.

I hate saying goodbyes, because there isn't any good in it. But do take care.

Blog Shops

Girls and some guys just love shopping, don't we? Well, just like any girl, I love shopping. But I do most of my shopping alone. Well, I wouldn't really say that it's because I'm emo. I just love shopping alone, not bothering about what others thought about the outfits I try on. And definitely not having to rush to places that my friends want to head to.

Shopping to me, is about relaxation. One does not have to spend money to shop. You can window shop, but I often blow my pockets not on clothes but on food. Oh well.

Shopping alone not only allows you to walk around aimlessly without people laughing at you, it also allows you to look at the items at your own pace.

Whenever I go shopping, I would always head to the Toys department. And would definitely hug one soft toy, before leaving the "soft toys" section. Then I would lose myself as I wander about, trying out the toys, picking up and reading about them and finally making a mental note of the toys I want. I love PlayDoh alot, and the cool gadgets done by Crayola. And I like how "techy" the toys are getting. Now you can get toy ovens that can actually bake! Now who wouldn't go crazy over that?!

The only problem when you're shopping alone, is when you need to eat. Sometimes, I do wish that I was thick-skinned enough to "chope" tables with tissue packets. I know it sounds ridiculous, but when you're alone, it's really hard for you to find a table. And I hate standing around waiting for people to finish their food. It's not only rude, but irritating as the same time, not only for the person who's eating, but for you as well. Because sometimes, there are people who purposely take their "own sweet time" to finish off their food, knowing that you are waiting for them. That is why I always prefer take-aways.

But when I'm at home, and ain't got anything to do, I would search online for blogshops. I must say, that there are blogshops with killer prices, and then there are those with really creative items. I wouldn't say I am a big fan of blog shops, mainly because I prefer to feel and try-on the clothes that I like, and also because I always screw-up the sizes. Hahah. It's not the blogshop owner's fault.

But this happens to me every single time. I look through the items in the blog, and something catches my eyes. I check the price out, and realizes that it's within my budget. Happy, I ask more about it and the next thing I know, it's not my size!

It's kind of irritating sometimes, as you see all the nice figures with the lovely clothes on. And it makes you think "Why can't I look nice in that? Oh wait, I forgot, it's because I'm fat."

One thing that I strongly support, is for blogshops to have clothes for plus sized people, and those who are neither skinny nor plus sized. That way, everyone leaves with a smile on their faces.

Oh, I am looking for a black vest. I saw one in a blogshop which I really liked, but it was out of stock. If you know of anyone who's selling one, tag or email me yeah?

Puppies

I have a packed schedule from now till the New Year, and so I wouldn't be able to update that often. But fret not because last night, I actually stayed up all night to do up a few posts which ideas have been etched in my head for a long time. Of course, the posts won't be released all at once. Instead, I have scheduled them to be released at different times of different days. This way, my blog wouldn't be that dead, would it? Hahah.

Pardon me for being monotonous in my posts. It's just that sometimes, I just loose the power to blog. You know, it's frustrating when you have these ideas and topics to blog about. But when you sit infront of the computer, everything on your mind just disappears. You lose the ideas, or sometimes just have little jigsaw puzzles of them. The words, that completes the puzzle just doesn't fit right. And so, you feel down and angry that an idea you had seconds ago, just disappears. My mum thinks I need to find some inner peace or something like that. An somehow, I do agree. It's been awhile since I visited the SPCA, the library, or simply just heading to East Coast for some breeze. Maybe then, the inspiration to do things would come back again. Just maybe....

Anyway, moving on to today's topic. Well, as the title suggests, it is about puppies. Now most friends would know that I am an animal lover. And dogs especially are liek a part of me. The mere sight of seeing friends spank their dogs or keep them in cages would infuriate me. I feel that humans have no right to be placed as superior just because we are bigger than the dogs, and we have guns and tools to deal with them. Dogs should be respected as how we respect the other humans, because there isn't any rule that states that dogs or any other humans should be treated differently from humans.

My home used to be like a zoo itself. We had quails, lovebirds, tonnes of rabbits and hamsters(because they kept breeding), and dogs. And everytime my parents saw an injured animal on the road, they would bring it home, and we would nurse it back to health before releasing it back. Most of the time, they were baby birds, and we had to feed them with straws just like how their mothers inserted their beaks into theirs so as to vomit the food into their mouths. But of course we didn't vomit food into their mouths.

Well, as time went by, there were so many animals that we had to give them away. All of them were given away for free, and we only kept the dogs. I loved my dogs. The one that was closest to me was Shandy.

A companion for 11 years. A beautiful animal who was a tad bit overweight. She was so lazy that a mere walk to the rubbish bin near my lift and back home, required the owner to carry her instead of she walking on her own. Like her owner, she was very stubborn. She wanted things her way, and would growl at any other pet or human who wanted to take her food or pillow away from her.

She was huge for a silky terrier mix breed. And neighbours called her a "Hairy Pig". Well, if you saw her, you would agree with them.

Her favourite room was her owner's. There were pillows for her, and her owner carried her wherever she went, just like a baby.

She loved eating rice, and am by far the messiest dog her owner has ever seen. Whenever she ate, she would have rice all over her face, nose and hair. She hated whenever her owner tied her fringe up because she loved how she looked with her fringe covering her face. But her owner couldn't stand the messy look on her dog.

Shandy had huge doe-like eyes. She had golden brown fur on her legs, black fur on her back, and grey as her crown. She was gorgeous, lovable and cuddly. But she had an attitude with it. She would ignore her owner if she was too busy for her, with her head turning away whenever her owner came towards her.

But after a few days, the love between them was so strong that they would always forgive each other, and soon enough, you would see them cuddling up, with her owner hugging her and carrying her around the house.

Shandy couldn't talk to her owner. But she made a great listener. She was always there to hear her owner's problems. And always knew when to go up to her owner to cuddle up to her, telling her that deep inside, she cared and would always be there for her.

Friends like Shandy would never be forgotten, because she taught me so many things that people couldn't teach. Well, as much as we loved to, we can't control death. And Shandy had to leave me this year. It was pretty hard for me, being that this year was the most sickening one I've ever had. It was too overwhelming to see her suffer, but I had to stay strong, because I knew she wanted me to. And so we bid farewell.

No dog can ever replace her, but I do hope that I will meet more dogs like her.

Well, after knowing the love one can share with animals, I am sure you would find it quite sickening to know of places that keeps dogs as though they are livestocks. Well, there are, and in America, they are called Puppy Mills.

Click Here to read more about Puppy Mills.

Well, in short, puppy mills are places where dogs are kept for mere breeding purposes. They are placed in cages so small that they have to crawl in order to move about. They do not have enough food, water and are not bathed. I caught an episode of the Oprah Winfrey Show and she showed the Life of the dogs in the puppy mills.

I don't have the complete episodes, so here is Episode One and Three.

Not all dogs there are stray dogs. There are pure breed Labradors, Cocker Spanials and so on. I am glad that there are ongoing rescues at the Puppy Mills and I am glad that Singapore doesn't have puppy mills. Dogs do not deserve to be kept in cages. Did you see how hard it was for the dogs to walk normally when they were released from the cages?

And the dogs that were covered in their own urine. And the dogs who were suffering from open wounds and so on.

Well, my aim in this post isn't to bad mouth the Puppy Mills. Because just like Chickens, Pigs, Cows and Sheeps, Dogs are animals, and have every right to used as livestock. They do have a point.

I, of course do not support them. But what I am trying to say is to support the SPCA. You see, every rescued dog would go to the SPCA. But with the increase in dogs being rescued, there wouldn't be enough space for the dogs, and so, those that aren't adopted, would be put to sleep.

If you are a dog lover and want to buy a dog, I suggest going to the SPCA to help these animals and prevent them from being put to sleep. These dogs deserve a chance to be loved and of course, they would grateful, as you gave them a chance to live.

If more people get their pets from SPCAs, then the puppy mills would stop breeding these animals for sale in pet shops.

And for those who still plan on buying a pet, I suggest you think twice. The fate of these animals is determined by you, their owner. Would you have time for them? Shower them with love? Care for them when they have illnesses?

Please don't abandom them.

Dreadful Year

Before I begin, I would like to wish Syafiq a very happy birthday. Well, it is more like a belated one, since it falls on the 25th December. Well, dude, I just wish you stop emo-ing that much eh? haha. All the best, and once again Happy Birthday!

There is one more birthday. And for those of you who visited the zoo on the 26th December, you would know. Well, it is actually Inuka's birthday. And just in case you're wondering, Inuka is one of the stars in the Zoo. And the only way to find his kind is in the North Pole. No, he isn't a penguin nor is he Santa Claus. He is a Polar Bear! And lucky as he is, his birthday is actually on Boxing Day.

Moving On...

2008. The year with an 8. The Chinese strongly believed that it would bring prosperity, since it was associated with "fa" in mandarin. This year was also the Rat Year in the Chinese Calendar, and was said to bring good luck to those who were born in the year of the Rat.

My mum is born in the year of the Rat. But oddly, 2008 has been a horrible year for my family and I. My mum has been through so much, and it hurt to see her struggling to make ends meet, just for my family. There were many times where she was at her wits end, but instead of breaking down, she stayed strong and found alternatives, for us.

Thankfully, we still have a roof under our heads. The rest can be worked out.

I don't know if it's just me, but I think that this year has been a real pain in the ass. With the rise in oil prices, ERP, inflation, constant struggle with jobs, and now the economic meltdown. What's next?

I guess because of all the factors above, everyone just isn't in the mood to celebrate at my place. Even during Christmas, it was odd. We had the annual festive dinner and so on, but something was just missing.

Maybe there wasn't the happiness, and joy of the Christmas Spirit anymore. Every spoonful of delightful, sinful food, made you regret after it entered your mouth, because you'll start pondering "If I eat all these, what am I going to eat the next day, and the day after?".

Life was miserable, and the bond in the family has gotten worst. Desperate as ever, we tried finding out the truth as to why we were that bad of a situation. And many a times, people told us that it was because some of us in the family (well, it was actually me) who lost faith in God.

Well, before you start accusing me of being Satanic, or anti-God, hear me out. Well, my family members are strong believers in God. All of them, except my second brother and I, worship different Gods. My dad's into Hindu, my mum's into Christianity. In fact, she pays respect to all the Gods she meet. And lastly, my brother is into Thai.

Well, I used to follow with the prayers and stuff, mainly because I was curious, and also because it looked cool with all the piercings at the Thaipusam, and other worship methods that were used in the other religions.

I am a free-thinker, but I got to see many things that the normal people couldn't. And instead of using it to help people, I simply neglected it. In fact I told my family that I didn't want this gift.

Maybe it was a decision made too soon, but it was finalized and I lost that gift. But I still continued following my family members to the different worship places each of them went. And surprising enough, despite being a Free-thinker, my prayers were always answered.

Well, back then I did not think much of it. But my dad did. And he forced me to follow him on prayer trips and asked me to pray for him. That was when I started pulling away from the whole prayers, and worships. I hated being forced to do things that I didn't want to do. It may have been a good thing to pray and stuff, but knowing myself best, and what I could do, I pulled away entirely, and stopped believing that it was fate that controlled my Life.

I'm not an Atheist. Because I do believe in the Supernatural, be it Good, or Bad. But I don't believe that God, or Devil is responsible for every move we make. Some people have the tendency to put the blame on others, or supernatural stuff like Black Magic.

But isn't it funny, that if you did not know that it was Black Magic, you wouldn't put the blame on it at all? The reason why I am so upset is because some people, simply say that they kena black magic or someone placed a spell on them. I simply find it as an excuse for their failure. Like I said, if you didn't know that Black Magic was involved, you wouldn't say it was Black Magic, would you?

Well, times are bad, especially for this year. Health, Money, Stress, Family, and every single problem there is. But I'm looking forward to 2009, just to see what it has in store for us, for me.

I say this phrase somewhere. I can't remember the actual words, or who wrote it. So if you do, please do inform me. But the phrase sounds like this:

Life is like a bow and arrow. To release the arrow, you have to pull it back, in order for it to fly forward. That is why, if you face any problems that has pulled you down, keep in mind that it is just getting ready to release you towards the successes ahead of you.

So don't give up, my friends. And I will see you next year.

Dance!

Putting all those negativity aside, it's time to share videos! I must say, that the dance "Sexy Love" done by Ivan and Allison in "So You Think You Can Dance" is ranked number one in my heart. I really like it alot, and I think that this pretty much show that Hip Hop isn't always about 'Gansta' moves.

And then I did more Youtube-ing on "So You Think You Can Dance" and found another dance which I really liked alot. This is done by Chelsea and Mark, using the song "Bleeding Love".

By this time, I was like a mad person searching Youtube. And I found other dance videos which are really impressive.

Enjoy!

Who ever said Robot Dance was "out"? Uniqlo brings it back with style.

Another robot dance, this time done by a Japanese named Takahiro. His moves are like water, so smooth. And check his flexibility!

Then there was Star Search. Okay some of you may already know that Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera were from Star Search. But did you know that Justin timberlake, Wade Robson and David Archuleta were from it too?

And who would have thought that the Justin Timberlake now, was all country then?

And it seems like Wade Robson had his talent since he was a kid! His sleek moves are exactly the same as the Legendary Micheal Jackson. Even the ponytail seems the same!

And then there is the very adorable David Archuleta. He seems much more confident than the shy one we see on American Idol.

And I love how Sophie Oda sounds. Her voice has the "Disneyland", "Fairytale" kind of voice, if you know what I mean.

And then there are the hilarious ones. I know it's kind of bad to be laughing at a tone deaf person, but I can't help it!

Christmas Presents

Christmas is the time where everyone experiences the joy of giving. No? Well, to me, it is kind of nerve-wrecking every Christmas as I have to crack my brains to figure out what to buy for 17 family members, including my parents and my brothers.

And I would admit, that I am not rich, and I'm not trying to be one. Thus it is very difficult for me to grant every single one of their wishes. But I do make a effort to try to be as close as possible, to buy the things they really like.

And then there are my friends. This year, I bought 20 over gifts for my friends only. And having blown my budget for my family, I of course, had to resort to cheaper means for my friends. I bought the gifts and wrapped them up and my friends had to choose them randomly. I wouldn't say the gifts are that cheap like $2 or $3 a piece.

And I thought money didn't count when it came to Christmas. Since young, I've always made my own Christmas gifts, be it making head bands for the guys and girls who played sports, hats, bags or anything useful. I loved craft work, and I felt that gifts should be items that could be made use of, instead of simply being hung in your room whatsoever. Call me old-fashion but I'd definitely love a gift sewn by my own friend, than a same gift that was bought from a shop. It held more meaning to the gift. That was what I thought.

But this year, for a change, I bought gifts. And it hurts me so much to know that I have friends who responded with a "eee, so cheap ah" kind of reaction.

I would admit that if I were just buying for 2 friends instead of 20 over, I would definitely buy them the items they wanted. But now, you have to understand, I had to buy for 20 over friends, not forgetting my 17 family members. And of course my priority in gifts were towards my family.

Just like my mum, I love giving gifts to people. And the gifts could vary from simple craft work like baking or making pillows, to tougher ones like crocheting a hat. But I realized that when it came to MY friends, things are actually different. I wouldn't say all of you, but some of you do judge by money, clothes and gifts. You want friends to grant your wishes by buying you the stuff you want.

But in order for me to do that, have you been doing it to me? I'm not saying buying gifts are a necessity. But there are so many times where I scurry about making a necessity to meet up and exchange gitfs. I wish you happy birthday, and even buy you presents.

But when it came to my turn. How many of you actually remembered my birthday? How many of you actually wished me? And how many of you bought me presents? I can still remember clearly those who actually stayed up till midnight to wish me, and those who simply feigned ignorance, as though they were totally oblivious to my birthday. Well, maybe some of you may have forgotten, but it wouldn't hurt to wish me when you saw how others did, wouldn't it?

I have never asked people to grant me my wishes. I don't go around saying that I want a fish tank, guitar or a better situation at home. No, I don't do that. And yet, I was stupid enough to go around, trying my nest to grant everyone's wishes.

Over the years, I didn't really bother about not recieving gifts back, and till today, I try my best to give gifts to every friend I had, be it on Valentine's Day, their birthdays or Christmas. And this year, I finally had enough. My brothers called me stupid for being so naive and cherishing these friends.

And I did do some thinking. And I wonder, if I were to be in trouble and need someone, I wonder how many of you would actually turn up. Don't come telling me all that bullshit that you cherish me and will help me just like how I helped you, because I know, that when I really need help, only a handful would turn up.

I'm really disappointed in the type of friends I have. Not all, just some of them are really worth cherishing. But we'll never know how long it'll last, right?

Well, fuck it. This would probably be the last time I'm doing anything nice for people. From now on, I'm going to be selective. Screw you all. I'm not going to waste my time on asses who judge based on how much money I have. I'm not rich, but I'm still living, and am happy with it.

This year has been a fucked up year. Hopefully, just hopefully, things would be better next year.

P.S: If you don't want a gift from me, just say so. And if you don't like my gift, give it back. Don't go around telling people how cheap it is or what fuck, at least you got a gift, ass. That's my hard-earned money. At least I'm good enough to not take my parents money and spend them like drinking water.

Implement these rules!

Had a rather sleepless night the day before because my fan wasn't working and my air conditioner was blasting the sixteen degrees it used to. My family thinks I'm crazy to sleep with both a fan and an air conditioner blasting that low temperature, that they think that they should ship me off to Antarctica.

Anyway, woke up and out I went. Did some things, and caught up with Cheryl and YiLing at causeway point. In fact, I was the earliest! We settled for late Lunch followed by catching the movie: Twilight.

twilight Pictures, Images and Photos

I wasn't really enjoying the movie because half of the screen was blocked by a guy who sat too high in his seat. And what could get better when you have that, and a group of people who keep kicking your chair from behind? And one of the guy actually stepped on my hair. Can you imagine how high his leg was? Indecent assholes who need to "air" their "treasures" so much that they need to lift like how my dog pees.

But the movie wasn't so bad. I was kind of disappointed because the movie lacked action that most Vampire movies had. And I think the lead actress, Kristen Stewart, looks alittle like Emma Watson(Hermione) from Harry Potter.

But I think the lead actress should be played by a hotter girl, maybe like Megan Fox?

And the lead actor can stay, or, he can be replaced with Channing Tatum, Johnny Depp or Orlando Bloom.

Okay, maybe too much on the "trying to be Director".

Anyway, after the movie, we parted and I made my way to Shahirah's home to pass her "Christmas Gifts". Hahah, a pity there were any "Cards". (Inside Joke)

We did some catching up and shared some touchy stuff that were close to our hearts. I knew we both were aching deep inside but time did not permit for us to chat any longer, and so she left for home, while I headed to my mum's workplace to have supper with her.

And while searching high and low for places(most of them were closed!) to have supper, and my mum's late dinner, I discovered the secret to making my family's Life so short.

Well, while walking around, we were making fun and grumbling at the same time, or irritating things that obstructed our paths.

I'm not going list the whole conversation from Marsiling to Admiralty, then to my school's coffeeshop, then to Thriple Eight, then back to Drive Sixty One. No, instead, I am going to list the types of laws that should be implemented immediately. And of course, I do seek for your support!

Kethlyn's Laws. Hahah.
  1. Ensure that there is enough space for Cyclists and Pedestrians while crossing the road. What I suggest: Draw a line on the road so that cyclists are separated from Pedestrians. This makes crossing much more safer as this would reduce the risk of collision between Kan Chiong spiders, the elderly, and untamed kids.
  2. Ensure that the bells on the bicycles are used for the right reason. What I suggest: Teach people that the bells are used as a warning to say that there is a bicycle nearby, not a warning to say "Oi, Siam leh!".
  3. Ban people from cycling on Pedestrian Paths. It is really irritating as there are still many people who do not understand the proper function of the bell on their bicycle. And it is really sickening to hear the bell ringing at you non-stop for you to move it, when it is actually them who needs to move! Afterall, it is the Pedestrian Path! What I suggest: allow Pedestrians to carry sticks and trip the cyclists who are on the Pedestrian Paths by sticking the stick inbetween the wheels of the bicycle. If you can ban chewing gum, you can ban cyclists who can harm our aging population, as well as our future generation by langa-ing on them.
  4. Ban people from walking on pathways (with people coming from both directions) in twos(especially couples) or more. What I suggest: Have a traffic police to fine those who do not follow the law. This not only increases the traffic police's income, but also allows more people to get jobs (as there are alot of places to be taken note of) thus, boosting the country's economy!
  5. Ban people from bringing strollers in crowded areas like the market, MRTs and Buses (during peak hours) and definitely in Pasar Malams. What I suggest: Fine them! More job for Traffic Police!
  6. Cyclists have to get off their bicycles when passing through these areas : Pasar Malam, Bus Stops, Roads in which they want to cross and T-junctions on pathways. What I suggest: a. Fine them! More jobs for people! Or b. Allow pedestrians to carry sticks with them, so that they can trip those inconsiderate asses.
  7. Have people inform others of sudden stops. What I suggest: The person should stretch out both hands on either side, to tell the surrounding people that he/she is going to stop 5 seconds after he/she does it. This is definitely useful as it prevents people from colliding with one another, having to cause the "Domino Effect" to everyone near them.
  8. Have people informed of Sudden Turns. What I suggest: The person should stick out one hand (in which the direction he wants to turn to) 5 seconds before he turns. Causes same effect as above (7).
  9. Ban people from putting their hands on their hips. To the ladies, have you ever felt the pain when an elbow jabs you hard in the chest, just because you were trying to squeeze past that person? I sure have, and it hurts alot! What I suggest: Fine the person who does not obey this law. The person can only put his/her hands on his/her hips only when there is no one within a radius of 5m.
  10. Ban people from standing in the middle of pathways. What I suggest: Allow people to push them away only if they are teenagers. For the toddlers or elderly, we guide them to one side of the path. And to the adults, we fine them for setting such a bad example!

That's all that my mum and I had talked about.

I do seek for your support!

Quiz!

Found this off of YiLing's blog. I was curious enough to do it, and my results were pretty... true. I fear disappointment.

I think you guys should try it too, and see if it really tells of what you are indeed afraid of.

Here's mine.

What is your True Fear?
Your Result: Disappointment

You are a fun-loving, energetic, and cheerful person. You love adrenaline rushes, and going out at night. You constantly have to be having a great time to feel completely happy. Your biggest fear is not having anything to do, or having a huge disappointment/let down in your life. You hate being sad, and if something in your life suddenly went wrong it would be extremely hard for you to deal with. Just remember that everyone has to deal with hard times. Irritating

One thing good about living in my flat is that it is really convenient. There's buses, the MRT station is just opposite my flat, there's a taxi stand at the MRT station, and there's three vending machines under my flat.

But after living here for 7 years, I realized that there are much more cons than pros in living in this flat. Well, to make it more direct, in my home. Well, we do have very inconsiderate neighbours who live a floor above us. They drill things, drag chairs and play with marbles at the oddest period of time in the day; at night. And when we go up to their flat to talk to them nicely, they never open the door.

Another issue about this neighbour is that they always write wrong addresses to companies, putting it as our unit, instead of theirs. And we always get their bills, and advertisements from these various companies. We were kind enough to put the letters back into their letterbox. But time and again, the letters come back to us, so much that we have given up doing the good deed or returning it to them. We either return to sender, or we simply throw it away.

The next issue is that despite the convenience, it's really irritating sometimes when you live so near the road. There's the irritating Motorbikes on the road with the deafening sounds. Then there's the frequent honk from the MRT. And there's also the every-minute message about standing behind the yellow line, and warning of not eating and drinking and so on. And not forgetting the road constructions that can last up to 11 or 12 in the middle of the night. The drilling, and screeching of metal makes it teeth-grinding.

The last issue, is about performance. Staying so near the Admiralty MRT station is bad because there are spaces big enough for Getai performances. Some songs are nice, with the lights and stuff, but having it to last till 11pm at night, can make one think twice about living in my flat.

And to make matters worst, there's an RC under my flat. And they do have the monthly or a few months get-together, where they will barbeque, and perform, singing Hokkien songs, singing their hearts out.

Don't get me wrong, RC members should have the opportunity to unwind, because it's thanks to their hard work that our papers get recycled every Sunday.

But having to hear vocally challenged people singing their lungs out from 4pm to 10pm is simply, unbearable. You feel like throwing shit down at them, but when you walk out to take aim, the heavenly smell of barbecue calms your nerves down.

Damn.

*Updated.

I'm happy, because I finally managed to dye my hair back to dark brown!

But I've been having the stomach flu for a couple of days now, I hope it doesn't affect my Christmas mood!

But on a happier note, I'm no more a lion!

Loves

Spring Cleaning

I know it's kind of a wrong time to do Spring Cleaning, with Christmas being only FIVE days away. And it doesn't make things any better, knowing the fact that I have not bought any gifts for anyone whatsoever. But heck, can't we celebrate Christmas without presents? Hahaha, just you, me and FOOD.

Anyway, back to the spring cleaning. Well, I didn't really spring clean the entire house, nor did I clean my entire room. I just did a portion of my room. And despite throwing two filled thrash bags, my room looks the same, worst in fact. I guess that's what happens when you're not doing it completely.

Well, I was clearing off my Secondary One and Two books, yes the old ones. And I must say, I did scribble alot of nonsense on ALOT of papers! There were doodles, drawings, and even "THIS IS SO BORING" signs on papers.

And I found some treasures! Well, not real treasures, but ones that I'll remember for a long time. I didn't take any photos of them except one.

Well the first one, was kind of an obsession. I used to be drawn to Gothic fonts, the decorative types. And I would design the same fonts in Gothic style whenever I can. There were projects, where I did the presentations on construction paper, with the fonts of course. Then there were science projects, where I did "LIGHT" and actually had the font done in Gold Gothic fonts. And there were many others. It was a tedious work but I really liked doing it, so no complains.

Then I found my Home Econs file, and I finally understood why my teacher didn't like me that much. I wrote all the wrong Vitamins and their purposes. And my sewing was atrocious. I kinda' feel bad for monkeying around back then. But it was still fun, because all I did in her class was iron clothes for others, and take ribbons, ALOT of them. But I would like to add, that I am definitely better at sewing than back then. Hahah.

Next up, I found my Art pieces. I showed some of them here in my blog. And I guess Art was my best subject, I never failed it, and never gotten Cs before. I'm not bragging, just proud that there's at least one subject I was good in. But unfortunately, it wasn't offered when I went to Sec.3. Oh well, Art was also another obssession. I loved vectors, and mystical creatures. I loved shading flowers and always had a little man in my art pieces, whether it was relevant or not. He had to be spotted, he was either in a parachute, flyign down with an umbrella, or sliding down some curve. But I guess the reason why I enjoyed Art class the most, was because I felt free, I could draw anything I wanted, based on how I interpreted the title of each drawing.

And last, I found my literature file! Literature class was really enjoyable, but one class I remember the most was when we were tasked to draw the "After" look of Johnny or PonyBoy from the story "Outsiders". I'll upload the photo of the "after" Johnny that I drew. It's was really disgusting! The guy had elf-like ears, two ponytails, a beard, snob flowing down his nose, and flies flying above his head! Hahah.

Oh, and I found the "Anti-Twit"pledge that Syuh, Raudah and I made! Fret not, I'm long over the Anti-Twit thing, and I'm sure the rest are too. But boy, looking at the names, the reasons, the pledge, and how to spot them, everything was so damn hilarious. This is definitely going to be in my cupboard for a long time, I don't think I'm going to throw it away. Hahhaa.

Any idea on what to get for friends? It's been awhile since I did hardcore shopping, so I'm kinda' stuck. Help?

Part 3

Part One can be found here, while Part Two, can be found Here!

"Okay, time is up! Stop writing and hand in your scripts!" Mrs Jones walked down each row of the students seated in the classroom, glaring at whoever who did not stop writing.

"Jo! Put your pen down, or else you will get a big fat ZERO!" Mrs Jones smacked Jo on her hand, which caused her pen that she was holding, to fall onto the floor.

"BITCH!"

"Now Jo, I have never seen you so engrossed in your work, but do keep in mind that I will reward you no extra time just because you ARE doing your work", Mrs Jones said in a rather disdain manner, as she collected the scripts. She headed back to her desk and began counting them one by one.

Well, it was true that it was the first time Jo was so engrossed in her work. Jo never liked doing her work and would often chance at the opportunity to skip class or pretend to be sick. You see, Jo's name was actually Josephine. She, unlike most girls, never wore dresses. She had shiny black hair that was cropped and spiked. She wore chains as belts, baggy pants, boxer shorts, cuffs and worn-out gloves. People often mistook her for a boy, but she didn't mind, because she always liked the "tough" look.

Jo was breathing fire. She banged her fist hard on her desk before leaving the class. This was the first time that Jo did do her work, and as much as she hated to admit, she really liked how free-willed she could express her thoughts and emotions in her essay. But she hated how she did not have the time to complete it. And one reason to why she actually did try to finish her essay was because of Mr. Petes. He was the Principal and he told her that she had to pass at least English if she wanted to Graduate by the end of the year.

Jo hated feeling pissed, and so, decided to head to her usual hangout to cool down; the basketball court. She saw a couple of her friends who were having a match over there, and thought about joining them.

"Hey Jo! Come meet Jacky! He just moved in here, and he sure can play ball!" shouted Nick who made a beautiful three-pointer that swiftly went into the hoop, making the chains of the net dance as they touch the basketball.

Jacky held out his hand to shake with Jo's but all she did was to snatch the ball from Ron who was making his way to Nick and Jacky. Jo never said a word and continued in her own game.

"Must be a bad day" shrugged Nick as he tapped Jacky on the shoulder as comfort.

Ron then suggested to have a quick match and all of them agreed. Ron paired up with Jo, leaving Jacky with Nick. The game started off and Jacky quickly learned that street basketball wasn't like how he played back in his school. There was more contact and it was much more rough.

"The first to reach seven wins!" shouted Nick.

The teams were tied six to six. The ball was in Jo's hands. She dribbled. Nick was blocking all ways possible for the ball to be passed to Ron. Jack moved closer to defend Jo. Jo was pushing hard against him, pushing him in the chest. It was hard, and it hurt, but Jacky wasn't going to let them call him a sissy.

He tried his best to not let Jo anywhere near the hoop. His spread his arms wide in defence, and decided to play dirty, just like how Jo did to him. He pushed hard at Jo's chest, and could not believe. He stood still, in shock. Jo took the chance and did a beautiful shot. Jo's team won.

"Hey, you're supposed to defend her! Remember?" Nick ran up to Jacky and slapped him hard on the back.

"Nick.... Jo's... Jo's a girl!" said Jacky almost feeling embarrassed that he did that.

Nick and Ron burst out laughing and couldn't help but laugh even harder at Jacky's confused face.

"Didn't you know? Jo's a girl! But she sure can play basketball".

It was true. Jo could play basketball. Jacky had never seen a girl play so well before, she definitely was better than the girls, and even most of the boys back in his school team.

All were silent when Jo came over to them. Jacky got up and said "Hey, I didn't mean to... you know."

Jo tried to act tough, and faked a low voice, saying "It's okay. But do it again and I'll bust your brains out, you hear me?" Both of them giggled and then headed over to Jo's house where she invited them for dinner.

To be continued.

Pontianak

I'm unhappy because my hair feels like Barbie Doll's hair. Yes, that ruined. But, on a lighter note, I'm happy because my brother, Jason, the botak is coming home tonight. Hahah.

And on a even lighter note, here's one movie you should watch. I caught it about two years back, and it is really funny. But there aren't any subtitles so you either get a friend who understands Malay, or you start learning it now!

Anyway, the movie is called : Pontianak Menjerit.

Enjoy!

And before I end this post, I would like all of you to have a look at this poster (below).

I bet it's a little too obvious if I were to ask you for the title of the movie. Yes, it's called Twilight. But my friends, I have seen, or heard far too many people literally saying that they watched, or want to watch Twiglight.

Now what the hell is Twiglight? I mean it's okay if you make a mistake because you have not seen or heard the movie, and would honestly accept that it was your mistake of not having to look at the title properly. But to those stuck up asses who still continue proclaiming that Twiglight wasn't as good as the book, and even after watching the movie, you still say the title as Twiglight, then my friend, you need to have your eyes checked.

Stop embarressing yourself and the movie. It's called Twilight, not Twiglight, you twit... You might as well associate it with Twiggies.

Now that wouldn't be nice, would it?

Christmas Wish

I was thinking of my Christmas Wish just now, and while writing it down, one of them was already granted! Now I know Christmas wishes are only to be granted on Christmas Day itself, but I guess this one can't wait.

Well, the wish was to actually have all my friends, if not most, to pass their "N" level Examinations. And I'm happy to say that the dear ones that are closest to my heart(You know who you guys are!) have cleared their "N" obstacle.

I must say, it was pretty nerve-wrecking, waiting for them to tell me their results. And around 2.35, Yiling buzzed me. She tried acting on the phone that she wasn't promoted, but her goofy "Hello Keth lynnnn!!" gave everything away. Hahaha. I was "harassed" further by her "SEXY VOICE" as claimed by herself, and was told that other friends did well too!

I was really happy for her, and told her that I would treat her for some Ice Cream some other time, and being the Goddess of Food that she is, she couldn't stop reminding me about the treat. Hahaha.

Received a few SMS from some of the rest telling me they did well too! I was kind of sad that I wasn't there to celebrate with them. But I am, without a doubt for all of them! And I do hope that all of them do progress farther in their journey in Life!

Anyway, back to the wish list. Well, usually wish lists are of things that people want, like a new hoodie, or something like that. But my wish list is going to be unique, and can only be granted if Santa Claus can really hear me loud and clear.

Three wishes, that's all I want.

First Wish: To forever have money in my pocket. I'm not asking for billions of dollars, nor am I asking for a huge bulge in my pocket. Just money in my pocket, so that I have enough to pay for my family, and my own needs.

Second Wish: For everyone, especially close ones(family and friends) to my heart, to be in the pink of health. This is so that I can repay them with all the love that they have showered on me. And also so that they can enjoy their lives without having to worry about their health. I'm not asking everyone to be immortal, just be in good health.

Last Wish: I would hand this wish to anyone out there in the world that needs it more than I do. I would love to grant someone else's wish, just to see a light of hope, faith and happiness in their faces.

So what's your Christmas Wish list like?

Oh Holy Night

Christmas is in exactly a weeks time.

christmas tree Pictures, Images and Photos

And I'm sure everyone is excited about it. I've passed through many houses that has beautiful Christmas Trees, Wreaths, Lights and even Candy Canes. And who can miss out on the Christmas carols and classical music that dances with the flame on the burning candles.

Everyone's busy shopping, buying presents for their friends, families and close ones. Picking out the right gift can be tough sometimes, because you never know if the person really likes it, or if the gift is enough for you to afford.

But after buying the gifts, you happily race back home and lock yourself in your room. Then you begin taking the gifts out one by one, and wrapping them yourselves. While doing so, you'll question yourself "Why didn't I buy this for myself? I want one too!". Then, once you're done wrapping them up, you paste Christmas stickers that has the word "to" and "from" and you write you name and your friend's/families' name. Then you happily walk to your Christmas tree and place each and every present neatly under the tree.

Then you wake up the next day, only to find that your dog has peed under the tree, but thankfully, none of the presents were "blessed" with his pee. You yell at him, and then realize that you missed a gift for someone that was important to the family. You dash out of the house, and buy the gift. You place it under the tree. Now everything is perfect.

Christmas Eve comes, and you can't wait for evening to come. When it does, your mum switches off all the white lights, and switches on the dim orange lights. She presses play on the Stereo System and Elvis Presley is singing.

You run around the house as you brother chases you. And then when it's time for dinner, your mum yells for you, and you head to the kitchen to help lay out the food on the dining table. You sit down patiently, or rather impatiently waiting for everyone else to sit down.

You eye the food as you see everyone loosen the belt on their pants, to make room for more food. Then there's the food. Mmm, the scrumptious Shepard pie, with the mouth watering Apple Pie. Not to forget the sizzling, smoking hot Turkey.

Then when all that's done, you have Log Cake for deserts. If that isn't enough, then turn on the chocolate fondue, dip your favourite fruit in, and devour the silky smooth larva.

Chocolate Fondue Pictures, Images and Photos

You thought that the Chocolate Fondue was the only thing to keep you at it, but you were wrong. You hear a "pop" sound and realizes that it was your dad who had popped a bottle of wine. Then there's the round of wine, followed by Vodka, and if lucky, all the Anthon Berg spirits would be devoured.

anthon berg chocolate liqueurs Pictures, Images and Photos

You continue eating, and watching TV/ listening to the classics till you can't eat no more. You start sending SMS wishing your friends Merry Christmas and you wait as your phone buzzes non stop from the messages to and fro. You watch more TV and then it's time. Everyone, including your dog gathers round the Christmas Tree. We start handing each other gifts and we viciously, and excitedly tear open the wrappers. When we're all done, you take a small present that's left unwrap and you call your dog over. You unwrap it, and hands him his new collar/toy.

Then we all go to bed, smiling to our heart and tummy's content!

And that's how I spend my Christmas every year, and I hope it doesn't change much this year.

How do you spend yours?

Quirks

Every person has a quirk or two in them. A quirk is (as taken from dictionary.com) a peculiarity of behavior; an idiosyncrasy.

In my own words, it's habits, mostly odd ones that people have in them.

Well, if you're still lost as to what I'm talking about, let me show you a quirk that I am sure many of you have. And it is, the habit to bite your fingernails.

Nail Biting Pictures, Images and Photos

Till it looks like this:

Nail Biting Pictures, Images and Photos

It looks pretty gross but I am sure most of you are looking at your fingers now, and am going "Thank God it's not as nasty as those! *points to screen" Well, just you wait, my friends. And if you're wondering whether you are the only one who is doing, well no, you're not.

Well, I am not a fan of biting fingernails at all. But I do know of someone who bites his toenails. Hahaha. Well, my relation to the fingernails quirk is that I would cut them on every Monday, without fail. And I have no idea why. I guess I just like the feeling of freshly cut nails on a brand new school day of the week.

Now nail biting isn't the only quirk. In fact, there are a lot more, which includes digging your nose in public. I have seen some people who are so carried away in digging their noses, that they are not aware of the disgusted on-lookers. And then there are those who are so engrossed in digging their noses, that they seem as though they are battling with some dragons in their "dungeon".

dig nose Pictures, Images and Photos

Then there are those, especially kids who eat their snob after digging their noses. But hey, it's actually healthy! Click Here To Read More About It!

When I'm out shopping, and I see a product that I want or want to have a closer look, I have this habit of taking the ones that are behind the product, rather than the ones that are right infront. I have always done that since young, because I hate it when kids or some adults squishes the item till there are dents in them, you know?

Well, I also realized that there are people who tap their chins with the back of their hands, whenever someone, or something hits them on their head. I have no idea what that is, but I'm guessing that it's a way to "push up the neck, since it was pushed down by the head?" I don't know.

And then there is one more, where people rub their elbows when someone taps them on the shoulder. I am not a great fan of people tapping my shoulders, and I do "dust" my shoulders, but I'm wondering, why rub the elbows?

I do have many quirks other than the ones mentioned that I have admitted in doing. One of them is after bathing, I would wrap my towel around my waist before hanging it on the hanger. I don't know why, and my mum thinks it's funny because I could just hang it, instead of having to put it around my waist first.

And I also have this odd habit of putting my right shoe on before my left. And do the same when I am taking them off. Hahaha.

Those are about the quirks that I think I have. What are your quirks? Do share!

And tomorrow will be the release of the GCE 'N' level Examination Results. I do hope all my friends who are taking their results, to have the best results ever! And if they do shed tears, I do hope that they are tears of joy!

Good Luck to all!

And Yiling, I hope everything goes well for you! I'll be rooting for you! Hahaha.
