There's no need for a Title
It's just that I've been feeling ever so down lately that nothing could bring me back or rather, motivate me to blog.
If you know me well enough, you would know that I'm the type would never share my problems, unless it's really that bad. But even if so, I would not leak everything out. All I can say is that, a lot of things have been bugging me lately and I apologize if I have/would be quiet, cranky and moody. It's just that sometimes I need to zone out and wander in my own zone for a bit.
And to those out there, I really appreciate your concern, but I guess, I would feel really awkward if you were to go around telling me or people that you would take care of me, listen to my problems, or give me a hug. I know that to others, it's a sweet gesture. But for me, it's different. Because since the past, out of 10 who told me that they would be there for me, only one was actually there when I needed someone. The others, were not only busy with their lives, but even complaint about their "busy" lives to me.
It's disappointing sometimes to hear good words from your friends, but in the end, none of them meant what they said. I don't know whether to trust you, or not.
So please, don't give me empty promises.
What an opening.. Let's move on to HAPPIER events.
First, I would like to congratulate my school's representatives who took part in an event which was hosted by Omy.sg called 'Kusong'.
In this event, contestants had to do a remix, or rather replace the lyrics of Chinese songs, and cat a Music Video of it. They were then judged based on their creativity. My school managed to sail through to the finals, and winning a merit.

Here is their song:
Surprisingly, my school actually congratulated them in front of the whole cohort. I'm anxious to see if it would be the same if I were to appear in the Papers after the results of the Blog Awards are released.
Moving on...
I came home early from school on Friday, and my mum was in my room admiring the water babies, Junior was sleeping soundly on my bed, and my brother Jason was busy rummaging my dad's room.
Curiosity got the better of me, and so I went in, to "help" him out. He was actually looking through the photo albums of the past. And I too wanted to reminisce in the past, and so I "plopped" onto my dad's bed, and flipped through, album by album.
Before I end off, here are some of the photos that I really liked, so I "took" them from the album.
My Precious : Fox & Shandy, after their bath

Fox and I, after her haircut. And yes, I'm in a dress, with long hair.

I don't look rather happy in this one because my dad brought me on a trip to the Goat's Farm, and I was embarrassed to take a photo there, with so many people staring at me. But instead of putting the idea of taking the photo aside, my dad scolded me, and embarrassed me even further. Oh well.

I remember back then when my parents hated bringing me to the Toys' Department because I would always go around hugging each and every soft toy there. And when I had my eyes on a toy I really wanted, I would hug it, and never let go, saying that I did not want to go home without it.
Thinking back, I kinda' think it was actually a smart move to "threaten" my parents to buy me toys, coming from a 5 year old.

And the last two.. I always loved playing with lanterns, and would carry one around the house, with ever-so-much delight. There was even once when my Aunt had to come all the way from Tampines to Woodlands, just to pass me a lantern she bought me.
And yes, that's Jason, back then

And that's my dad.

People have often mentioned that secondary school is the best period of Life ever, and that all of us should treasure it the most, because Life would be different once we advance into the (working) Adult's World.
But for me, though I have not yet completed Secondary School, I dread the feeling of heading into the unfamiliar world of Work, where we have to adapt to the rapid changes around us, and fight for ranking.
I would love to be 5 again, where I could just squeeze through the MRT panels without having to pay for it, where I was always getting sweets whenever I go to the doctors or dentists, where I could sneak away from my mischief with just a smile, where nothing mattered except when Barney and Friends was going to be on, on TV.
Back then, I could sense the worry my parents had on their faces, despite trying to cover them up with fake smiles just so to entertain us.
But now, I worry, for everyone's future. Are we going to face the same worry as our parents did?
Exams are not the one that making me worried, it's seeing the people being stressed out for Exams, that worry me.
Good night!

Voting sessions end tomorrow!
I'm sure every finalist, would have the "kan chiong" period, where they're encouraging people to vote for them.
It's really hilarious seeing it, and I can't deny the shame of having the "kiasu Singapore" fever, as I am also one of them, seeking for voters. hahah. But no one can blame us right?
I'm not in the TOP 3 most voted title, and so I can say goodbye to the LG phones. But it's okay(throws knives and glares at winners, haha), because afterall, I believe that all the finalists are here to befriend one another, and to be exposed to more unique styles of blogging.
I for one, have seen many interesting sites, and have actually bookmarked some of them, to keep as personal favourites.
Speaking of votes, I read here...
That a Youth finalist, approached his teacher, seeking her help to ask the school to vote, hoping that the school would support him and another finalist. However, what came back was a shock, because instead of appreciating the efforts of the finalists in aiding in making the school more popular, the finalist's request was turned down.
I guess it's disheartening to know that despite your efforts to make a school a better place, the school in return, "repays" the kindness by ever so gratefully rejecting it.
Unfortunately, my school happens to fall in somewhat the same category, where teachers discourage the students to own a blog. They even brought up the ongoing issue "Dawn Yang Vs. XiaXue", saying that it poses a so-called threat to those irresponsible bloggers, who are waiting for trouble to come knocking on their door. A friend of mine was even asked to delete her blog, because it contained unsightly or I feel, THE TRUTH about the school.
I know that there are some teachers who read our blogs, and I personally feel happy that teachers are making an effort to get to know their students better by being a step ahead of others, and connecting to us through the net.
But I'm glad that I did not approach my school to help me in the votings because I'll definitely have my parents being called up, and at the same time, have to face the teachers and highest in hierachy, to lecture me about the importance of studies, being that it's the O' level year.
But even so, I would like to thank all those who helped vote for me, from friends, to classmates, to schoolmates, to strangers who visit my blog. I do hope that after this voting session is done, there would still be visitors to my blog, not to vote but to continue supporting me in my passion for blogging.
Here's Rihanna's latest MV, Disturbia. The MV is kinda' freaky, it reminds me of "Thir13en Ghosts".

But I think the beats of th song, is nice.
ENJOY!

I LOVE MY APPLE!!
Anyway, this competition is actually about one's love for Apple products. No, not literally a real apple.

But, It's this one!

Anyway, if you still have no idea what are the differences between the two pictures above, you can actually head to Apple's website(online store) here
Now, I love Apple products, because they're not only trim and sleek(everyone wants something that looks nice, and slim right?), but have functions that are the eighth wonder of the world, so much that heads will turn when they see you carry an Apple product that never fails to make anyone, look like a prodigy. I'm not kidding, it's not some copy and paste thing.
I for one, have always been envious of whoever who owns an Apple product. The products are simply irresistible, that I feel like snatching from those who own them.
Anyway, enough talk about the products as a whole. I need to touch on the point of the post, and that is, my favourite Apple product.
Apple products range from a large variety from a large range of MacBooks(Air, Pro, Mini),

to Imac,

And lastly, to Ipods!

Among all those stunning products, I have to vote for the 'Ipod Touch' as my favourite Apple product!
(Taken from wikipedia.org)
The iPod touch has the iPhone's multi-touch interface, with a physical home button off the touch screen. The home screen has a list of buttons for the available applications. All iPod touch models have included the applications Music, Videos, and Photos (collectively duplicating the standard functions of the iPod classic), iTunes (providing access to the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store), Safari, YouTube, Calendar, Contacts, Clock, Calculator, and Settings. Later models added Mail (accessing POP/IMAP/SMTP e-mail), Maps, Stocks, Notes, and Weather, which could also be added to the earlier models with the purchase of a software upgrade. Direct links to web sites can be added to the home screen by the user.
The iPod touch is equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, and, like the iPhone, includes the Safari browser and a viewing client for YouTube. The device's Wi-Fi capabilities can also be used to buy music from the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store. Also like the iPhone, the iPod touch currently does not support the 802.1X authentication method, making connectivity to certain private networks impossible, even when authorized. The iPod touch 2.0 Software Update will support WPA2 Enterprise with 802.1X authentication.
Though this heavenly product seems flawless, it is apparently not so true.
It lacks some of the iPhone's features: access to any phone network, an internal speaker, a microphone, a camera, physical buttons for volume control, and Bluetooth capability. The iPod touch uses software-based volume controls which require users to double-tap the home button, bringing up an on-screen slider.
But, who can resist the temptation of owning such a magnificent product? It's slim and definitely lighter than the Iphone. So if I don't love it, who will?
