Pet Peeves
People who ask for treats. As in, people who ask others to treat them out to lunch, dinner, or to even get others to buy things for them as a treat.

To the ones I think about daily
If you're reading this, that means you've been trying to keep track with my life, and I do appreciate that. I have been thinking about you too, yes, every single one of you.
I know that I haven't been around for any of you guys for this past year, and I guess I haven't had any good reasons other than "I'm busy". I know it is the worst and lamest excuse, but hear me out okay?
School Life hasn't been the best for me and it's been pretty hard settling down too. I'm still not used to the class time slots, and most definitely the assignments that are back to back (till now, assignments are still up my ass). Truth is, I'm still not used to any of this.
But I'm sorry.
I'm sorry to those whom I haven't met in a long while.
I'm sorry to those whom I've met empty promises too, often telling them that we'll meet up soon but we never do.
I'm sorry to those whom I've left hanging in MSN conversations.
I'm sorry to those whom I've not spend enough time with.
I'm sorry to those who only get earful of my problems but get no attention in return.
I'm sorry to those whose meet-ups I've canceled time and again.
I'm sorry.
Believe me when I say that I feel disgusted and disappointed with myself. I feel guilty and the fear of losing you guys haunts me every single day.
Losing you guys is pretty much like losing pieces of me.
But I just want you to know that I do care about you guys and though I may not be physically present or available, I'm always rooting for you guys in my heart, and as the saying goes, I'm always a call away.
Okay, enough of the mushy-ness.
Kthxbye.

Random Updates
Anyways, if you've been wondering as to what I've been up to during the holidays (yes, I'm a week over the holidays, but who cares?), then here's a pretty short update about my boring Life.
Well, I didn't get a job during the holidays because I told my parents that I wanted to make full use/ waste the entire of my holidays doing stuff on my own, be it rot to death at home or hand out with some friends. They were pretty skeptical about it, but I managed to convince them, adding that I should have full control of my Life, so that when I grow older like them, I wouldn't have to reminisce about my youth with full of regrets, wishing I could turn back time to rot to death or do stuff that I didn't have a chance to do. In short, I just didn't want to force myself into the working scene just yet. I know I'm not rich, but it doesn't necessarily mean I have to make myself addicted to the smell of money or the sensation of having bundles of it in my hand, and then spend it ridiculously on things bought on impulse.
Maybe it's just a lame excuse to not get a job. Moving on...
The holidays weren't really pathetic. I managed to down 8 books (yes, I love to read).
- Ugly by Constance Briscoe
- Damaged by Cathy Glass
- Ghost Girl by Torey Hayden
- Please Don't Make Me Go by John Fenton
- When Daddy Comes Home by Toni Maguire
- Twilight Children by Torey Hayden
- My Friend Leonard by James Frey
- We Are All The Same by Jim Wooten
The contents of these 8 books are phenomenal. There is no one best book to pick out of this lot. You should really get your hands on these books. They can be found in the Health Section in the Singapore Library, Humanities in Page One, Literature/biographies in other shops like Popular, but the best description for these books can be found at Kinokuniya, which labels these books as 'Survival Literature'.
Other than reading, I did meet Syuh and Jeanice occasionally.
One such event was when we visited Swensen's Ice Cream buffet. It was pretty neat, but we didn't last long as we were cold and could not go more than 4 rounds. However, it was still pretty nice to be all crazy and high on sugar with them.

I actually planned on changing my blogskin. My inspiration came from Shark Boy and Lava Girl (I love watching that show).
I loved the idea of the guy dreaming his way out of trouble, and Lava girl's hair (haha!), and so, I came up with this:
I found a few other colours that I liked while I was messing around with my hair on Photoshop. I'll show it on another day. Anyways, after completing it, I found that I didn't really like it that much, so I've decided to scrap this off, and come up with another skin which is still under construction.
Well, I guess that's it for now.
Till then!

Random Updates
I finally managed to find some motivation to blog. True enough, as what Syuh said, many of my posts have been kept in drafts for a very long time, so much that it keeps piling up and up, without me completing any of it. But enough is enough, as there are many things to share!
Random Update.
Needless to say, it's the term break for me now. However, it's pretty unfair that the other polytechnics are having theirs at a different date to my polytechnic (yes, that means I can't get to catch up with some of my secondary school friends, and that includes you, Jeanice Mucuc).
And term break isn't really a break to me, as I still have three projects on my shoulders. You know, I actually hate projects now, for the fact that it is in groups. Call me selfish or self-centered but I actually feel that I work best on my own. This of course, has nothing to do with 'cramping me style'. I just don't like the feeling of having to wait for others, or to even have others wait for me. And the greatest setback is that everyone thinks or rather, have different perceptions of the project. This however, can be a benefit at the same time, as we can help cover each others butt.

Wait, why am I arguing with myself over such a topic? Written communication must have done something to me, with the argumentative essays and all.
Moving on...
These couple of weeks has left great and interesting impressions of some of my class mates. In fact, I got to scare them with my home made horror experiences, and even managed to put them in tough and uncomfortable situations (sorry about those times!) about unanswerable questions about religion, the spiritual world, their beliefs and also existence.

I was just being curious. True enough, there are many questions where both religion and science cannot solve. So who will give me the answer?
My mum thinks I'll die a horrible death one day, while trying to unravel all these secrets. But I'll most probably go mad before dying from a horrible death. Who knows?

The later part of this post has been deleted. It is not because I 'chickened out' or fear that a massive amount of parangs will be thrown at me. In fact, it has nothing to do with me fearing for what I wrote, as I will still stand by whatever I wrote earlier.
The reason as to why I removed the 'tale' is simple. I made a mistake. By penning my frustrations, anger and opinions down here not only makes it unfair for the 'victim', but it also causes loads of assumptions and its many other transformations to spread around.
For those who have seen it, good for you. For those who haven't, that's too bad. Whatever that is written in this blog is mere 'one ear in, and out the other' and I prefer no posts to be further discussed or spread around.
The vending of frustrations of that particular person, was indeed a major no-no and I sincerely apologize if she or anyone else takes insult to my words. I admit that I do have inappropriate terms when it comes to blogging. And the post may have sounded bitchy and idiotic.
I know that everyone deserves to have their version of the story told and so, I have decided to remove the 'tale' so as to prevent people from making guesses about who is involved and whatsoever. Besides, everyone needs to reflect on their own actions and from that, I found that I was writing away at my own free will without considering the feelings of those who were involved. Very selfish indeed.
However, as mentioned earlier, I still do stand by every word mentioned in the earlier version of this post. Mean, bitchy, whatever you want to call it. So long as I know that it's from my heart. Ignorant, but truthful. And they say, the truth always hurt.
PS: Whoever wishes to start a war/battle over what I wrote, I wish to gladly invite you to bring it on.
One more time now...

When the Cat ran out of the bag
I am not an avid fan of Steven Lim and his unique website. In fact I do not even visit his site at all. However, yesterday was an exception because I received a text from a friend of mine requesting that I check a certain part of his site out.
What was expected to be agonizing, was actually pretty amusing, as I scrolled though his website. In fact, I think I pretty much admire his courage (not him lah) of staying true to himself, despite people threatening him with death wishes and so on.
And despite all the hate tags, Steven Lim has grown to be a pretty well known celebrity, especially in the blogosphere.
But my concentration today isn't actually about Steven Lim. You see, my friend texted me for a reason. Apparently, Steven Lim had a modeling agency. And while looking through the portfolios of the models, guess who I saw?
Natalie Kang (Premier Package)
Ref No: 851
Occupation: Student Hgt: 168cm Wgt: 49kg DOB: 4 March 1992
Almost too pleasant to look at....Especially the nice white teeth which can easily endorse a toothpaste product, this caring attractive girl enjoy teaching preschools. Good for all events. Click here Natalie's video profile.
Yup, you did not see it wrongly, Natalie is actually one of the model on Steven Lim's agency. i recommend clicking on her video profile to view her introduction and a little skit that she did.
Or you can Click Here!
Or you can Click Here!
Or you can Click Here!
Or you can Click Here!
Or you can Click Here!
Who knew she could act?
This is of course, not a post for mockery or anything close to it (so if you really need to comment, hit the comment tab on this post. I wish not to have a war on my tagboard please. Or better yet, keep your comments to yourself, or tell me in Msn if you have to.).
The discovery came as a surprise to me and since Natalie's on Steven Lim's site, I don't think it'll hurt to have her here on mine too!
Well that's it for now.
PS: Natalie Dearie, if you see this, do call a shrink. You definitely need one, pronto!

Making Frienemies
Apparently during one of the lessons where we had to reveal an information about a classmate that no one else knew, a classmate of mine remarked that I had a very weird sense of dressing.
That comment then erupted into a class discussion where people added that I dressed very "Hawaiian" like, and some even said that it was their first time seeing someone who dresses like me!

No, I did not dress like that.
But why am I still so chirpy about my class's comments? Well, it just shows that I am not a trend follower, but rather a trend setter! I think I look good in how I dress, and finally people know of my existence in school! Weird or not, it depends on their taste of style. As for me, I accept weird as a compliment, because it brings me a step closer to being unique. Don't you think so?
So, a quick recap of the previous week, I made an entire or rather, most of the seniors in this particular club hate me. And the funny thing is, I did not even get a chance to annoy them. In fact, I had no chance to interact with them at all! The power of assumptions my friends, it can kill.
Then I had classmates discuss about my dressing style (as a class, with my lecturer!) as though I was a subject.

I have a strong feeling that people would idolize my dressing sense soon. Just you wait.
Oh, and I made tonnes of enemies with random perverts that added me/ I added when I engaged with them flirtatiously day after day before finally scaring them away when I claimed that I was the person that was in this photo:

Sadly, I did not save any of the chats that I had with them.
But what I did not understand was why they did not get the hint when I said that I loved 'slobbering myself in hot creamy butter', and 'jiggling my voluptuous gems at men'.
They must have thought of otherwise when all I intended to do was to speak the truth and nothing but the truth. Oh well...
But, there is actually one it that it absolutely mind-boggling to me. I actually made an enemy with someone when I showed him my actual photograph. How can?!?!
This person was actually a secondary school senior that I have never met before. We started off pretty okay, with random conversations here and there. Then there was the grand moment when he asked whether he could see my photograph. I told him that he could get it off of Facebook but he insisted that I send one to him.
Foolishly, I did. But that was where it pretty much ended. Apparently, he was someone who 'Anti's people like me; people who like piercings, tattoos and appreciate the various types of arts that are pretty much still a taboo around the world.

This (above) my friends, is just one of the many piercings carried out during the 'Vegetarian Festival' in Thailand.
Thus seeing that I had a lip piercing, dyed hair and so much more, he was pretty much enraged, and asked if I had any more piercings or tattoos.
Feeling that it was unnecessary for me to respond and be judged by what I look like, I simply ended the conversation with a "Go to hell. I don't see why you must make a big deal with what I like. You make it seem as though you need to control me. Like hello? I don't go around asking you/comparing you with the things I like or don't like. I just don't judge people like that. Dumb ass. Go bitch about anti-ing me to someone else, I don't give two f*cks about it".

Don't get this wrong. I'm actually a very nice person. That is, if you don't judge me for how I look/without getting to know me better lah.

When nothing ticks you more than that
I am actually not in a good mood right now, because of one very idiotic bitch that pissed me off.

I actually deleted the later part of the post because I find it really insensitive to post everything here. She may have hurt my feelings but I shouldn't be hurting hers. Because it'll make me no different from her.
I am learning to change.Till then.

How I spent my birthday
that was almost fulfilled by Shera and Natalie. Okay so maybe it was no where near completion, but at least I had a blast while being covered in egg, flour and whatever that they added on the 'pink solution'. And not to forget those awesome people who made my day special! You guys know who you are!
But even though I didn't get to spend time with my friends (maybe it's a different case for Syuh and Jeanice) this year, it's the awesome wishes that I got, that really brightened up my day, and I mean it.
So a very huge THANK YOU to all those who wished me this year! I realized that the gifts aren't necessarily important, but the people who know of my existence, the ones who on this day, wish to celebrate with/ congratulate me. It's rare to have friends like you guys, and I definitely thank you for brightening up my day.
Once again, Thank you to...
Those who stayed up/woke up early just to wish me through the text messages. People like my twin Guan Wei, Syuh, Jeanice, Aainaa, Gek Chong, Wan Teng, Ms Lim Hui Qi and Shera.
Those who wished me through Facebook, people like Khairul, Jeslynn, Syakirah, Sam Yong, Natalie, Azaria Song, my cousin and Shi Jie.
Those who wished me through my blog, my other part of life that I love being involved in. People like Syakirin, Melissa, Zhao Hong and Cheryl.
And last but not least, a huge thank you to Colin Lee. I am still in the state of shock that I received your call. To those who had no idea what he did, let me explain. This guy called me twice when I finally picked up. Then he placed the phone on loud speaker and sang a birthday song for me. It was pretty hilarious because immediately after he did it, someone (his sis or his mom?) actually asked him what was going on, with the questions as to who that was and why was it so loud. Hahah. But come to think of it, it was pretty awesome having to receive a call from you, so I thank you again!
Celebrations at home were pretty much on a more ' mature' setting. I woke up pretty late in the afternoon(So i could not make it for the traditional stuffs in the morning), and I had to secretly tip-toe around the house for fear of having someone grab me and shove ice/ splash cold water at me or having some other sabotage that they usually did on me every single year.
Surprisingly, I woke up to a home with 'normal' people for once, where everyone was minding their own business and not playing pranks on me. I looked like a fool, having to tip-toe around. But I was still on high alert, for fear of any sudden attacks. But as I mentioned earlier, no pranks were played on me this year. I think my family finally feels that being a 17 is a huge milestone away, in terms of maturity, from the ages below.
Everyone was lazy this year, so we ordered KFC for lunch, and then Canadian Pizza for dinner. My mum promised to cook up my favourite dishes on some other day, adding the fact that she'll try to get my 'always wanted' gifts.
Time at home was pretty much spent with all of us lazing around the house, playing games, watching DVDs, blasting the speakers, and just simple talking. It sounds pretty laid back for a birthday, but it is actually one of the best ones I had, because all we did was nothing but spent 'Quality Time' together as a family.
And what could be more special when you get to spend quality time with a bunch of quirky people who
- keep shouting things like "Run lah! Run!" to the Hero who was being shot at, or whoever else , when we were watching a movie.
- keep making themselves confused by telling one another, what happens in the movie next.
- Keeps asking questions like "Why did he do that" when the actor did something that we didn't expect.
- keep making sound effects whenever there was a bomb.
- (applies to dad only) keeps switching channels or walking infront of the tv
- argue about every single thing, as though there was a parliament session going on. Topics like the supernatural, diseases, politics and even actions of some random people.
And there you have it, how I spent my birthday.

Day out to Orchard
LONG & BORING. BEWARE.
The day started off pretty badly for me. I had accidentally swung my watch at the railing while making my way up from the carpark. It was really humiliating as the sound of my watch hitting the metal was really loud, and many drivers stopped to look at me (it was that hard).
I tried to feign ignorance but I couldn't help but chuckle to myself because there was this lad that terperanjat when he heard the sudden loud sound. And I swear, the little "jump" that he did, accompanied by the shocked and traumatized (why did you do that?!?) face was simply, priceless.

And I thought the humiliation would end there. But as I made my way to the MRT station, I didn't pay attention to this drain "cover" that was not really a perfect fit to the drain.
And I tripped on it.
As always, there were many patrons who had alighted from buses and MRTs and unfortunately, they saw my horrid moment of embarrassment. But like how I usually do it, I looked back at the drain, made a "tsk" sound to it (as though it was "it's" fault for being there and disrupting my path). Then I had a frown put on my face till I managed to hide in Prime supermarket to chuckle at my clumsiness today.

If only I hadn't threw my tantrum at home. Karma would have been much kinder to me.
After I blew off some steam, I waited as Jeanice and Syuh made their way slooooowlyyyy to our meeting point. It was funny how Jeanice got tricked by our term of winegums.
Thereafter, we headed to Orchard. What was supposed to be a job hunting day for Jeanice, ended up as a pretty awesome but childish day for us.
Off we went, to Paragon. Or as how some people put it, Pentagon.
Time spent in Muji was pretty much a bitter sweet experience because we had a chance to touch and try it out each and every one of the items there, but had to face the evil Tink monster who was super indecisive and whiney (hahah) on her items to buy. Her overrated enthusiasm for Muji items never fail to Amuse, Annoy, Amaze and Horrify me all at the same time (AAAH). Hahah.
Then I spotted some guy who was making balloon animals/swords/flowers/ whatever the kids wanted, and thinking that he was a clown (from his outfit, he seemed to be one), we decided to go closer to 'as termed by Jeanice : "See his face". '
We were disappointed because his face wasn't a tad bit near the word 'Clown'. But we were all happy again when we say adorable Caucasian kids with awesome hair.
Curiosity made us sidetrack on our journey and we ventured into the "Paradise For Kids". In simple words, we headed to Toys R' Us.
That was where we lost track of time as we happily pranced about (exaggerated). We were only at the entrance but we had already lost hours there. Why? Because we were busy pressing the "Try Me!" buttons for the creepy Chuckie-like dolls. I couldn't help it, the "Try Me" buttons were calling my name, begging me to press them. And true enough, I had mini heart attacks every now and then when the mouths, eyes or even hands started moving.
THEY ARE ALIVE!

We even had time to buckle Patrick the Starfish in a pram.
Okay, it was only me, and I sure was engrossed in "Safety first"!

But Syuh does look to be awesomely happy to have Patrick as her child. Hahah.

And the craziness did not end there, for when we shifted to the "Soft Toys" section, that was where we all went crazy.
No, it wasn't just me. Jeanice was just as crazy.

I decided to go on a "shopping spree" for Monkeys, hippos, elephants, Patrick, dogs and bears. I then decided to ditch all of them and reselect my "Chosen Ones" which were all Monkeys.
Syuh had this obsession over Master Monkey's puppet from Kung Fu Panda (the movie).

And I must say, it(the puppet) sure was one UGLY thang. The puppet did not do justice to Master Monkey AT ALL.

See what I mean?
One more time now.. And say it with me, UGLY!!

So there we were, walking around Toys R' Us, Jeanice with her Spongebob, Syuh with ugly puppet and me with an armful of monkeys.

Obviously, there were stares from lots' of people, but we were too thick skinned to even bother. When we all had enough with the soft toys, we put them back and wandered into the "Sports" section.
There Jeanice tried her talent and hula-hopping but got seriously burned. Better luck next time! And Syuh made a fool out of herself when she tried spinning her "weapon" round' her hand.
Speaking of weapons, Syuh, Jeanice and I got into a fight....
With one another.....
Apparently, we were such die hard fans of Spartans and fighting scenes that we had to make one there and then.

"Armed with an Axe, Jeanice attacked us with all her might. I swung at Syuh with my Giant Plastic Toy Hammer but it was making too much noise with the "honking" so I ditched it.

Syuh took Patrick's innocence as an advantage for she jabbed him continuously with her sword. While I seek cover from a swimming float as my shield, Syuh headed to the weaponry section to arm herself with a CARS bat. She swung, jabbed and poked Patrick till he was nothing more than Lifeless.
Raged by her vicious actions, I took a "long balancing beam which is for fights in the pool?" and swung it at Syuh. She too picked up the other beam and we began attacking one another with it. All this while, as the battle was on, Jeanice stood aside, cheering for both teams.

The battle only ended when both of us were out of breath, and my beam was "broken". Setting aside all the hatred for each other during the battle, we gave in to each other and called it a 'Tie'."
The battle was more of us laughing then really fighting, so we were pretty much breathless from all the giggling.
Then we headed off to the "Baby Section".
Babies have the bestt lives ever! They have awesome potties, cool toilet seats, chewy toys for teething, and sweet toys, be it electrical or plain cloth type.
How to not be jealous?
Anyway...
We visited our "Heaven" before ending the day. Our "Heaven" sold the old versions of kinder surprise!
Yes, this ones!

I got myself a bag of Jolly Rancher Lollies and a can of Dr. Pepper before leaving.
The day ended with us walking around aimlessly in Orchard, mainly due to Jeanice's misdirections. But it was all fun.
Till then

Winnenden school shooting
This shooting is actually the bloodiest one in Germany, and this chap had gotten so famous, that there are already wikipedia pages about and the shootings.
Well, if you did not catch the news about him and the shooting, let me put it in short and sweetly.
Apparently Tim Kretschner, who was a former student from Albertville school, had given "notices" to his parents and someone in a chat-room that he was going back to his old school. He felt that students there mocked him and he was pretty much sick and tired of it.
And so he decided to go on a rampage. He shot the victims in the head, which actually meant that this was no random shooting. 8 out of the 9 students shot were female, and all three teachers shot were women as well.
Click Here To Read More About Tim Kretschmer
Click Here To Read More About Winnenden School Shooting
Since this news is still pretty "fresh", stories from all over the net are saying different things, as to how many are dead and so on.
Do correct me about the deaths in the shooting though.
Click Here To Watch A News Report On The Shooting.
Click Here To Watch Another News Report
My heart goes out to all those who has suffered losses in this shooting. I feel really bad for those victims killed in the shooting. I feel that no matter how much you hate that person for mocking you, one should never take away another person's life.
This is a real tragedy and it pretty much saddens me, and I'm sure, all of you. Schools there, places where we can knowledge, can simply turn into an edifice of massacre in a flash. Imagine having the time of your life with your friends, and the next day, some of your friends, or even you, die from a shooting.
The horror and trauma of not knowing where the safest place is. Even on the streets, there would be guns, drug dealers, fights and so on.
And to be honest, I am pretty glad that Singapore imposes a strict rule on weaponry. I am glad that we Singaporeans, can stay safely and comfortably at home. I am glad that our schools are safe from this shootings as well.
I do hope that these shootings do stop. For it is not worth of the innocent blood that is shed.

From all walks of Life
And sometimes, when I come home from a blissful day, I thank Fate for allowing me to meet awesome people that brighten my life. I thank 'him' for allowing special people to enter my life. Not only have they made me feel special, treated so fine, but they also painted my life with colours. Colours that are called 'joy and laughter'.
Have you thanked Fate yet?
(Don't worry. I'm not dying. But wouldn't it be awesome if we had something like this?)
One day, when I woke up, I finally found Fate's answer to my question.
You see, if you stare hard enough at your reflection's eyes, you'd see your soul. And in your soul's hand, would be a tape. Play the tape in your head as you replay the emotions, events and re-meet the people you know.
In Life, there are some who praise you so that you feel the accomplishment and feel good to do much better.
Then there are some who jump at any given chance to thumb you down, humiliate you by lashing at you without any mercy. And by then, you'd be so crossed with them, that you'd forget about your failure. Then you'd realize that it isn't worth it to torture yourself any longer.
There are some who open their arms widely to welcome you, encourage you and give you chances to show your worth. Then there are some who simply reject you. Not only are you disappointed, but you find the courage to pick yourself up and move on, to try harder.
There are some who love you only for the things you have. You'd feel welcomed at first, but soon after, you'd realize that happiness isn't about materials, and these people aren't worth it. Then you'd meet people who love you for who you are. Not only would you feel comfortable, but you learn to behave well enough.
No matter who you meet, just know that there's a reason as to why they're there. So learn from the incidents that happened, and grow from it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SYUHADA/SYUH/SYUHLA/MUCUS WOMAN!!!!!
If you've read the earlier part of this, you'd realize that I've mentioned that it is Syuh's birthday. But I left out the part that it's Natalie's birthday too! Happy Birthday nat!
Anyway, as mentioned, I met up with Syuh and Jeanice. Jeanice was pretty late because she got caught in between some reefs. And she forgot to bring Syuh's present, so she had to go home to get it.
We lingered around Cold Storage while waiting for Jeanice and I found my cheese spread that I had been fond of since a little kid. The one with the red cow head. Hahah.
We then settled for lunch at MacDonalds and time did pass quickly. We left the place, thinking that we should shift to StarBucks but apparently, things weren't on our side, and so we decided to head back to MacDonalds to get some Ice Cream. Yes, on a rainy day.
But before heading to MacD, we got ourselves two Kinder Joy with Surprise each.
Yup, the eggs are back people. But this time, there's Ferrero Rocher- like chocolates in them. Not forgetting the toys too.
Jeanice was getting hyper and lame, by taking photos of the Kinder Eggs. They're no longer wrapped in foil though.
And Syuh was getting paranoid over the toys hidden inside. Hahah.
Anywa, back to MacDonalds....
That was where we were in our own world, well not literally, because we started reminiscing the past together. We found out that Syuh, despite being the innocent looking one, got into the most number of fights and arguements. "Innocent" eh. Hahah.
And we found out that kids these days were getting out of hand, treating public places far more worst than home, shouting like babarics. Not only were they a disgrace to society, they were ones to their families, themselves and since they were in their uniforms, their school.
The day ended around dinner time and Syuh and I headed home by walking. But halfway through the drizzle became a downpour and so we were drenched. Syuh found it "awesome" to be drenched on her birthday. Hahah. And I got weird stares when I boarded the bus.
Well, that's it for now I guess. I'll update once I have some things on hand, or if I feel like it. For now, I wanna' go open my Kinder Eggs. Hahah.
One more time, Happy Birthday Syuh and Nat! I hope it was a blissful day for you guys!
K bye.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, today's Syuhada's birthday and I've scheduled for this post to be posted on 11.50am, cause' that's the time that she was born. Hahah.
I don't think she'll see this because I'm meeting her, and Jeanice at 12pm.
And so let me reveal what I did for her, as a birthday gift. Well, if you know me well enough, you'd know that I am a very corny person. I'll find poems or sayings and write them out. This year, I think I am the corniest ever, because I made syuh's gift in terms of a goody bag.
Well, I've always liked the idea of goody bags because it's sort of a surprise, and it makes people feel young. Hahah, that's what I think.
And in the goody bag, there is a piece of "Paparazzi" styled letter for her. Don't all birthdays have letters? But I'm not good with words, so I did got some poem too. Hahah, corny.
Then there is a newspaper wrapped item. Mind you, I do have wrapping papers, but I really liked the idea of how "anyhow" and free-styled newspapers looked. She has to open a few layers of the newspaper before she can see the gift.
It's a shoe. I know there are alot of superstitions about giving shoes to others, which in simple words means "sending them away", in terms of death. To make it worst, I'm giving her on her birthday. But just like how my family does it, I'm going to get maybe 10 cents from her, so it'll seem like she bought it for herself. Hoho.
Anyway, this shoe isn't like any other shoe. Because, this one is designed by me! I was really disappointed with the outcome because I didn't know it would be much harder on canvas than on paper.
SORRY SYUH! Heh.
And last but not least, like all goody bags, there's a bag of sweets inside. I got her, her third wine gum, and some DAT DAT Marshmallows too! Hahah.
Well, if you think I'm odd than you've not seen many other "themes" which I chose for others. You may just be my next Guinea Pig.
But I don't think I'll do any more shoes, unless for myself. Hahah.
A little dedication to friends to end the post.
The Gift Of Friends
by Karin Schaefer
There are days when
bubbling from us comes
the innocent child within,
who giggles at the little things
and wears a silly grin.
There are days when
melancholy comes to
visit for a while;
the mind feels tired, the body weak;
we have no strength to smile.
There are days when
joy abundant
grabs a hold of you and me;
wraps us up in all it's splendor,
lifts us up and sets us free.
There are days when
sorrow wraps us
in its cloak of grief and fear,
'till our hearts ache to the breaking,
'till our eyes can't shed a tear.
There are days when
love bestows us
with its wonderment and light;
with its beauty and its mystery,
its power and its might.
And there are days when
life rewards us
and seems to make amends
by granting us a marvelous gift,
the precious gift of Friends.
Once again, Happy Birthday Syuh!
I'll update again once the day's over.
Loves!

Reminiscing the Past
I'm not proud of some things that I did, but I sure am glad that it did happen, for it changed me as a whole being.
I'll paste it here! It's really long, but here goes..
If you enjoyed your high school years, you'll do it.
If you have nothing else to do, you'll do it.
If you're here to read the questions/answers and pretend to hate to do it, deep down you'll still do it.
This tag is so fun because the answers can go on and on.
Read if you miss your high school years
Bio Data
1) Which school did you go to?
. Woodlands Ring Secondary School.
2) What classes were you in?
. 1e3, 2e3, 3e3, 4e3. Yes, the threes loves me so.
3) What was/were your favourite lesson(s)?
. My favourite were Literature, Art, Science and History. That was back in Secondary 1 &2. I only loved English at Sec 4.
4) If you could remember, what time was your recess?
.I can't really remember even though I was really excited for recess every single day back then.
5) List down your favourite food/snacks.
. I loved stall 7's food. The vendors there were really nice too! Other than that, I'll have my Pokka green tea and maybe Apollo.
Style
1) Did you have a nickname way back in high school?
. It was really sickening back then because almost everyone (even some close friends) had difficulty pronouncing my name. Some called me Kat, some called me Keth, some called me Catherine even though there was a Catherine just two classes away, some called me Katelin, literally Kat - te -lin, and the list goes on.
2) How did you wear your socks?
. I always wore ankle socks but it wasn't necessarily below ankles. I find it really retarded to see people who pull their socks just to make it look short.
3) Have you been suspended due to the way you put on your uniform?
. Yes, back when I was in lower Secondary. I was, how Syuh and Malek puts it, Scary. But I become more mature, and finally knew how to dress proper for school when I was in Upper Sec.
4) Were you given plenty of reminders about your appearance?
. Yeah, when I was in lower sec. I was often reminded about my colourful guitar strings/ traffic light (ear sticks). And then there were the untucked shirts, short skirts, lace in shirt, and horrible torn and tattered shoes. Oh, and there was the light brown hair which got me into trouble every single day in lower sec.
5) Who did you look up to when you were in high school?
- When I was in Sec 1, I looked up to Mr. Bruce because I felt that he was a pretty much laidback person but with a bag full of sarcasm. He was like Singapore’s version of Dr. House, minus the doctor part.
Then when I was in Sec 2, I looked up to Mdm Anisah. She may seem like a goofy, weird and crazy teacher but what she went through was really tough. And despite all that, she always had a smile on her face. Now that was someone I admire.
Then finally when I was in Sec 4, it was Mrs Raj who got my admiration. She was always the “talk of the town” because of the way she looks and stuff. But her lessons were nothing near the word boring. She had sarcasm, loads of general knowledge, and loads of experience. And she was always willing to lend a hand if we asked for it.
Punishment
1) Name one memorable scene where you were punished in front of the whole class.
. I was always punished for the wrong reasons. There was once where I was punished because I laughed at a teacher who was scolding the class. I couldn’t help it, because his face was really funny. He pouted! And from then, everytime he scolded the class, he would ask me “Kethlyn, very funny is it?” even when I wasn’t laughing.
Then there were this other time, like syuh said, where we used the leftover of someone’s correction tape, and made a spider web of death around our tables and chairs. A teacher tripped on it, and threatened to send us to the Principal.
2) How many times did you skip class? What were you doing?
. Skipping class was like a regular thing when I was in Lower Sec. My attendance was really bad in secondary school, that I was threatened a few times that if I didn’t go to school, I wouldn’t pass that year.
3) Give one scene where you escaped from being caught/punished.
. I don’t think I escaped any. I was always scolded by my form teacher. But it was really fun, especially with the crew of friends who did those nonsensical stuff with me.
4) Did you vandalize any school property?
. Oh…Vandalizing the tables and chairs with markers and correction fluid. Cutting the tables or scratching them with penknives. Taking out the screws of the table and chairs so that my classmates would fall when they sat on it. Making a hole in the wall, putting glitter glue on the OHP (it was really funny when my teacher switched it on, because the screen showed glitter all over. He was pissed and he stared at me throughout the period, while slowly peeling the glitter glue off of the projecting thingy). Throwing wet tissue on the ceiling of the toilets, classic. And sticking double sided tape on the teacher’s chair (a teacher actually sat on it, and it didn’t help with the fact that he was already pissed). Oh, and I even pasted a sticker-card of my brother’s tattoo shop on one of the walls (I hope he doesn’t kill me when he sees this).
5) Did you ever make any teacher cry?
. As lame or idiotic as I may be back then, I hated it whenever someone cried. But I think my Chinese class made two Chinese teachers cry, because they couldn’t take the fact that we were a bunch of people who did not like Chinese lessons and were all ready to give up.
1) Who was your favourite teacher?
. Mrs Raj, and Mdm Anisah
2) Describe your DM.
. He was nice to my parents, but I think he was trying to hard to fit in with the students.
3) Who was the funniest/weirdest/loudest teacher?
. Mr. Ben. He was loud, crazy and damn bloody fit.
Social Circle
1) Were you popular back then?
. In a bad way, maybe. But I hate the word popular, and the people who try to be. This is Singapore, for crying out loud. Not some “90210” series.
2) Were you in a big group of boys/girls or small ones?
. My school has this weird thing about cliques. I don’t have one, I just hang around with a bunch of friends here and there.
3) Who were your best friends?
. Let’s not call them best friends shall we? My partners in crime were people like Raudah, Syuh, Shera, Aainaa, Wan Teng, Colin, Liyana, Alex, Wei Cheow, Jeanice and the canteen people I sit with every day. And definitely the volleyball team. Well, I not only have good friends in school, I have ones out of school too, so let’s not leave them out eh. Yiling, Cheryl, Weiting, Wenya, Lixin, Serene, Lena, Xueping, and so on. I hope there’s no hard feelings eh, if I had to name everyone, the list would go on and on and on.
4) Did you and your friends have nicknames?
. There was one with Shera called the R.E investigations. It was created just for laughs. Other than that, no.
5) What were your favourite memories of you and your friends?
. I have loads of them. And most of them were punishments (refer to no.4 in punishments). I know this is really mean, but this was actually one of my memorable moments. Well, as usual, I brought sweets to school and Malek wanted one. I wanted to throw one at him but feared that it would hit Yi Qian, who was beside him. So we gave warnings and so on. And then I threw it, and it hit Catherine, hard on the face. And poor her, was minding her own business, paying attention in History Class.
Then there were the times where we had birthday bashes, and Syuh’s brother tied all ou bags together. Oh, and the part where we always headed to the mama shop to buy all the Asam before tutorials started. And definitely the times where we sneaked out of class to buy food. Raudah was definitely the best person who always sneaked in and out without anyone knowing. And the funniest one was when Liyana got stuck while climbing a pillar inbetween the toilet cubicles. And one time Alex and I pissed a Physics teacher off when he asked “who created Magnets?” And the both of us shouted “Magneto!”
And the KFC moments, the late talks of ghosts and stuff like that.
Okay, I should stop talking now.
Co-curricular Activities
1) What type of CCA were you in?
. Volleyball
2) What did you have to bring to your CCA?
. Waterbottle, Kneepads, long socks, a lot of hairclips, volleyball shoes, and face towel.
3) What did your CCA required you to do?
.Well, basically to play volleyball. We had to learn the various skills, like how to receive right, set right, spike right, and land right.
4) Got injured?
. Yeah, spraining ankles were the common thing for me. I got bruises here and there when I didn’t land right. And I even fractured my ankle once when I landed on a ball after spiking.
1) Who was your first crush?
. I was too busy getting into trouble to have a crush.
2) Are you in good terms with your last crush?
. Blah.
3) Did you ever have a relationship with anyone in your high school?
. Nope. Well, I had way better things to do than to land myself into complicated Love.
4) Have you ever made out in school?
. Nope.
Closing Ceremony
1) How did high school changed you?
. Well, from Lower Sec to Upper Sec, I became more mature as a person. There were various activities that taught me to speak up for myself, to have confidence in myself, and definitely to fight for what is right. High school showed me how screwed some people could be based on racial views and so on, and from there, I learnt how to pick friends who had my back when I needed them, unlike those bastards who always used harsh racial terms whenever they were at the losing end.
2) Sing one verse of your school song.
. Gosh, I actually had to sit and think for a long time. Wait, wait, I know it.
“Like butterflies from cocoons we unfold”
3) What was your favourite question?
. Every single day, it would be the same
In an annoyed voice: “What he talking?”
“Who got sweet?”
“Now what time?”
“I’m hungry, when’s recess?”
“How many more periods to recess?”
“What’s after this?”
To Chow Jun Rong who always sleeps, “are you sleeping?”
4) Who/what will you remember from your high school?
. The teachers who never gave up on me. The teachers who didn’t care what I did in the past, and would treat me no different from the other kids. Friends, and unfortunately, enemies. Hahah. Everyone! Including the toilet cleaners, like Mdm Diana who works in the zoo now (I saw her!) , and even the stall vendors.
5) Any memories you will not forget.
. How much trouble I got into back in school. And definitely my friends who were with me throughout. Oh, and this time where the principal told me to tuck in my shirt and not go for the volleyball tournament to go support (I was in my crutches) and I threw my bag at her feet. Wah lao, damn attitude lah! Hahah. But she was damn shocked that I did it.
Okay, I'm done now. A little update on my schedule. Yesterday, I caught a movie with Syuh and Jeanice. We wanted to watch "The Curious Case Of Benjamin Buttons" but the slots that we wanted mysteriously dissapeared. Hahhah. We caught "He's not that into you" instead. It was a pretty neat show. I think I'll give it a 7 out of 10. But I think they did way too much for a PG rated show. Heh.
Oh and remember, I talked about the glowing nail polish in one of the previous post? Well, I found it! And I bought orange and light green (Syuh and I called it the original colour, but Jeanice insisted that it was LIME green). I've yet to do it on my nails. Instead, I met my brother my guinea pig, yes again. Hahah!
And after 'charging' it, it freakin' GLOWED! hahah! My brother has a glow in the dark thumb now.
Well, that's it for now.
Loves.
