HAPPY BIRTHDAY SYUHADA/SYUH/SYUHLA/MUCUS WOMAN!!!!!

Editted

If you've read the earlier part of this, you'd realize that I've mentioned that it is Syuh's birthday. But I left out the part that it's Natalie's birthday too! Happy Birthday nat!

Birthday Pictures, Images and Photos

Anyway, as mentioned, I met up with Syuh and Jeanice. Jeanice was pretty late because she got caught in between some reefs. And she forgot to bring Syuh's present, so she had to go home to get it.

We lingered around Cold Storage while waiting for Jeanice and I found my cheese spread that I had been fond of since a little kid. The one with the red cow head. Hahah.

We then settled for lunch at MacDonalds and time did pass quickly. We left the place, thinking that we should shift to StarBucks but apparently, things weren't on our side, and so we decided to head back to MacDonalds to get some Ice Cream. Yes, on a rainy day.

But before heading to MacD, we got ourselves two Kinder Joy with Surprise each.

Yup, the eggs are back people. But this time, there's Ferrero Rocher- like chocolates in them. Not forgetting the toys too.

Jeanice was getting hyper and lame, by taking photos of the Kinder Eggs. They're no longer wrapped in foil though.

And Syuh was getting paranoid over the toys hidden inside. Hahah.

Anywa, back to MacDonalds....

That was where we were in our own world, well not literally, because we started reminiscing the past together. We found out that Syuh, despite being the innocent looking one, got into the most number of fights and arguements. "Innocent" eh. Hahah.

And we found out that kids these days were getting out of hand, treating public places far more worst than home, shouting like babarics. Not only were they a disgrace to society, they were ones to their families, themselves and since they were in their uniforms, their school.

The day ended around dinner time and Syuh and I headed home by walking. But halfway through the drizzle became a downpour and so we were drenched. Syuh found it "awesome" to be drenched on her birthday. Hahah. And I got weird stares when I boarded the bus.

Well, that's it for now I guess. I'll update once I have some things on hand, or if I feel like it. For now, I wanna' go open my Kinder Eggs. Hahah.

One more time, Happy Birthday Syuh and Nat! I hope it was a blissful day for you guys!

K bye.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, today's Syuhada's birthday and I've scheduled for this post to be posted on 11.50am, cause' that's the time that she was born. Hahah.

I don't think she'll see this because I'm meeting her, and Jeanice at 12pm.

And so let me reveal what I did for her, as a birthday gift. Well, if you know me well enough, you'd know that I am a very corny person. I'll find poems or sayings and write them out. This year, I think I am the corniest ever, because I made syuh's gift in terms of a goody bag.

Well, I've always liked the idea of goody bags because it's sort of a surprise, and it makes people feel young. Hahah, that's what I think.

And in the goody bag, there is a piece of "Paparazzi" styled letter for her. Don't all birthdays have letters? But I'm not good with words, so I did got some poem too. Hahah, corny.

Then there is a newspaper wrapped item. Mind you, I do have wrapping papers, but I really liked the idea of how "anyhow" and free-styled newspapers looked. She has to open a few layers of the newspaper before she can see the gift.

It's a shoe. I know there are alot of superstitions about giving shoes to others, which in simple words means "sending them away", in terms of death. To make it worst, I'm giving her on her birthday. But just like how my family does it, I'm going to get maybe 10 cents from her, so it'll seem like she bought it for herself. Hoho.

Anyway, this shoe isn't like any other shoe. Because, this one is designed by me! I was really disappointed with the outcome because I didn't know it would be much harder on canvas than on paper.

SORRY SYUH! Heh.

And last but not least, like all goody bags, there's a bag of sweets inside. I got her, her third wine gum, and some DAT DAT Marshmallows too! Hahah.

Well, if you think I'm odd than you've not seen many other "themes" which I chose for others. You may just be my next Guinea Pig.

But I don't think I'll do any more shoes, unless for myself. Hahah.

A little dedication to friends to end the post.

The Gift Of Friends

by Karin Schaefer

There are days when
bubbling from us comes
the innocent child within,
who giggles at the little things
and wears a silly grin.

There are days when
melancholy comes to
visit for a while;
the mind feels tired, the body weak;
we have no strength to smile.

There are days when
joy abundant
grabs a hold of you and me;
wraps us up in all it's splendor,
lifts us up and sets us free.

There are days when
sorrow wraps us
in its cloak of grief and fear,
'till our hearts ache to the breaking,
'till our eyes can't shed a tear.

There are days when
love bestows us
with its wonderment and light;
with its beauty and its mystery,
its power and its might.

And there are days when
life rewards us
and seems to make amends
by granting us a marvelous gift,
the precious gift of Friends.

Once again, Happy Birthday Syuh!

I'll update again once the day's over.

Stone cold

Pardon me for the grumpy post (previous one).

grumpy Pictures, Images and Photos

Well, it's mainly because I've not gotten a wink of sleep yet. Yes, I've been awake from yesterday afternoon. I had no idea how important sleep can be, until now. The wonders of how sleep can affect the mood as well.

I feel like sleeping, but there's so many things that I want to do. Besides, the night is still young. But I'm sleepy.

Hahah.

And the colour race never ends

We see them everywhere.

They're the jerks who pushed you off the swing when you were a kid; they were the ones who tugged at your hair when you were with your toys; they were the ones who stomped on your sandcastle even though you spent ages building it; they were the ones who threw spiteful remarks about your skin colour and hair; they were the ones who made crude remarks about your parents and heritage; and the list goes on...

These are the fools who throw their lives around without realizing how much of an impact they had done to others.

I can't help but look back at how dreadful my youth had been, with my ears being deafened by the rude comments made about my skin colour, my heritage, and even being accused for things that I didn't do.

At the tender age of six, I received my first racial remark about my skin colour. Being that young, I thought the kid had issues with himself and so I didn't bother. But as I grew older, it became more and more aware of the remarks made by the majority about the minority, and became more and more confused as to why this was happening.

I once got called up by a teacher because I dissed some shop in Causeway Point for laying a racist remark about Indians in front of me, thinking that I had no clue as to what she was saying in Mandarin. She was so wrong.

Just a few years back, I used to hate myself for being a few darker tones than the majority. I lost confidence and become more self conscious. It was like an obsession. And it was all because of the racist remarks that I got just by being darker skinned.

But a few years later, I realized that all this bullshit was pretty much a waste of time. Like me or hate me, I don't give a bloody damn about it. Ooooh look, I'm rolling my eyes at you.

I used to sneer whenever someone complimented on Singapore being a cosmopolitan country. True enough, Singapore is doing a remarkable job in attracting foreigners over, but things don't seem to be getting anywhere near being "over" over Racism.

I'm not saying that all majorities are racists. Well, this isn't really about Racism either, just some parts. Read on and you'll get what I mean.

Well, we can't really blame Singapore though. Because everyone makes mistakes. And with about six billion people on Earth, we're bound to affect those around us. And some of us may even take things to a whole new level. Why? Because amongst us, there are jerks who not only find the joy in tormenting us with harsh racial critics, but they think it's cool. These are the jerks who shun empathy and disregard others. Why?

Well, just take a moment and look through them. You'll notice that at the bottom most pit of their heart, they think they're better than you. You see, once they get the kick of insulting you, they get addicted to it, just like how one can get addicted to marijuana. And once the insults start, it never ends, because with this title of superiority, it boosts their ego and gives them this mindset that they're not only better than you, but the world. In fact, they think everyone owes them a living. And they don't really care you who are, they're just ever ready to stomp hard on you and your friends.

And if you're of a different skin tone than them, more like of the minority type, it gets worst. Because they'll throw in racist remarks, sometimes which makes no sense at all, just for the kicks of it.

Now you you're of a darker tone than the majority in Singapore, then you'd face this problem pretty often whenever you get a job. And that is, 'Do you speak Chinese?'. As much as you have in qualifications and somewhat, you're not hired, just because you couldn't speak Mandarin.

Now it is understandable that hospitals should have Mandarin/ Dialect speaking people just so that there would be no language barrier with the folks over there. But be mindful that there too are other ethnic groups who are living in the same hospital.

I went to a Food Court far from home and boy was I shocked to see the place being run by China workers. I'm not saying I dislike them or anything. But it was really hard for me to buy food because, despite being obviously darker skin tone than a Chinese, the stall vendors spoke to me in Mandarin, and I had a pretty tough and awkward time trying to understand what they were saying and at the same time, having to have them understand what I was saying.

Here comes the hard truth people, and it is, that all men and women were created equally. But we don't usually stay the same for long. Because each of us have our own way of living, and some of us work hard to strive towards our goals. Upon being successful, one learns to appreciate whatever he/she has around him, and have an acceptance of good justice and equality.

And to those who feel like they're superior, this is the time where they would leech off of society. Because by doing nothing, the attention soon dies away from them. They start becoming all bitter because at the end of the day, it is their title of superiority that keeps them from becoming anything at all.

Their title of superiority has in turn taken a toll on them and by becoming nothing, it means that all their "achievements" have slowly slipped into the drain. Wasted.

So my dear friends, the next time you think of stepping up to the plate to being someone more superior than your peers, look over your shoulders and see if anyone's backing you up. If there isn't then that means that you have wronged somewhere. Let it go, and ensure that it does not repeat itself. Because you never know if you might willingly step into the dark side of becoming a nobody.

A little "joke" I found off of Ash's blog.

black man says to white man.
"When i was born,I black
When i grow up,I black.
When i go up in the sun,i black
When i scared,i black.
When i sick,i black.
When i bruise,i black.
And when i die,i still
black.

but you white folks,
"When you born,you pink.
when you grow up you white.
when you go in the sun,you red
when you cold,you blue.
when you scared,you yellow.
when you sick,you green.
when you bruised,you purple
And when you die you grey.
SO WHO YOU CALLING
COLOURED?

Freedom of Speech, screw that

You know, I have this issue with people who go on and on about freedom of speech in their blogs.

Something like "Being in Singapore, everyone is entitled to have their own rights, and freedom of speech. So you if hate what I say, just click the small red X on top or simply press Alt F4".

Honey, you got this all wrong. If one has freedom of speech, one wouldn't be asked to close their blogs by school teachers. One wouldn't be bombarded with comments or hate tags because of something sensitive you wrote in your post.

If you still think that there's freedom of speech, then you should be the one to buzz off worzxzx.

There have been way too many issues going on that all points in agreement to the fact that there isn't freedom of speech. Just ask the teacher who revealed that he was gay.

Yes, we do have a little freedom of speech, that is why we have debates, forums and we need not sign terms and conditions just to post in our blogs.

And true enough, everyone needs a "freedom of speech" moment for themselves just so that they can unleash some deep dark secret that they've wanted to share. But I, for one, am glad that there isn't really much freedom of speech around. Because, if we did, people would go haywire and start bombarding people even if there wasn't a need to.

And if you think that freedom of speech still rules, then just you wait for the teachers or whoever you insulted, to spot you. Go ask them to press Alt F4 then.

Body Bakery

After being shown a gruesome bound feet made out of cake by Syuh, I decided to google for cakes. And boy oh boy did I find a mouthful!

First up, a six feet sculpture of Jesus Christ that was made entirely out of chocolate. This art piece is titled "My Sweet Lord" which is done by artist Cosimo Cavallaro. It was planned to be displayed at the Lab Gallery in Midtown Manhattan.

Unfortunately, it was cancelled.

"But word of the confectionary Christ infuriated Catholics, including Egan, who described it as "a sickening display."

Bill Donohue, head of the watchdog Catholic League, said it was "one of the worst assaults on Christian sensibilities ever."

"It’s not just the ugliness of the portrayal, but the timing — to choose Holy Week is astounding," he said."

It would be pretty awesome to see it on display. But having heard that it led to a major controversy when it was planned, it's a much better idea to cancel it.

Next up, Scorpion Cake and Cake Shoe.

Both of these cakes are done by Zhanna from St. Petersburg. There's more master pieces done Here!

If you did click that site (above), you' realize that there's alot of fascinating designs one can have on a cake. Cool...

Alrighty, on to the last one. This brings baking to a whole new level. Why? Because he does this....

This is not some horror flick. This is actually edible! I'm not kidding. This is actually a creation by Thailand's Fine Art student, Kittiwat Unarrom. This guy really has the skills. Not only are the they bloody, bruised, gory and edible, they look very realistic.

My oh my, I can imagine one opening it's eyes as we devour it. Heh.

Inside a dark room, realistic-looking "human body parts" are stacked on shelves and hanging on meat hooks. The place looks like a mortuary or the lair of a serial killer, but in fact, it's a bakery. What appears to be putrefying body parts are the bread sculptures of 28-year-old art student Kittiwat Unarrom.

"Of course, people were shocked and thought that I was mad when they saw the works. But once they knew the idea behind it, they understood and became interested in the work itself, instead of thinking that I am crazy," said the fine arts masters degree student.

He hopes his realistic artwork will make people ponder whether they are consuming food, or food is consuming them.

"Everyone's life is rushed nowadays, even when it comes to eating," he said. "When we eat, we don't think about our health or safety, we only think of our taste buds."

As an undergraduate art student, Kittiwat started painting portraits. He then moved to mixed media and finally dough - a natural medium for him since his family runs a bakery.

Along with edible human heads crafted from dough, chocolate, raisins and cashews, Kittiwat makes human arms, feet, and chicken and pig parts. He uses anatomy books and his vivid memories of visiting a forensics museum to create the human parts.

"When people see the bread, they don't want to eat it. But when they taste it, it's just normal bread," he said. "The lesson is 'don't judge just by outer appearances.'"

I don't think that'll be the only lesson learnt.

Hats off to whoever who has the guts to swallow this. You might be labelled as a Cannibal though.

But this would be a pretty neat Youtube video if we were to place it someone's fridge though. Hahah.
