Back to School!

Yesterday did not go as well as I planned.

I slept pretty late the previous night, and so I obviously woke up late, around 1 plus. Well, I was supposed to head back to school at 1pm.

Anyway, I made my way there, and at the gates I saw fellow school mates, like Samuel. I entered the school and that was when all the problems started.

The security guard stopped me and didn't let me in, because I had dyed hair and because there were several studs on my ears. I tried calling my juniors and teachers, but no one picked. It was pretty embarrassing, having to stand there while others could go in.

The security guards did apologize, but I don't blame them. Well, they were simply doing their jobs.

Well, I did take it for granted that I was an alumni, and could go in as and when I wished, but I was proven wrong. While standing there, the security guards actually told me that there were other cases, where a boy had to go home to change because he came in shorts. And Apple who works in our book shop, wasn't allowed in because she had a tattoo, but she was later let in because she wasn't a student, but because she worked there.

Even parents were questioned before they were allowed to sign in.

I was told that I had to actually come back in school uniform because I have not collected my certificate.

I admire the school for their discipline, but I do question where they draw the line.

Anyway, after standing there for about an hour, Ms Lim came to my rescue with Ms Choo! We talked for awhile and then I actually went back to Admiralty, to "dye" my hair. Then, I headed back to school.

I was greeted by Qian Wen, whom I almost lost my pants to by her "Cling-Wrap" hug. Hahah. It was really nice to see some of the teachers, and friends who went back to help out too.

Well, good times do not last long, and before we knew it, everyone were packing up to head home. Jayda, Cheryl and I then headed to the hall to watch the performances. They were pretty neat, but I was paying more attention to the Seconday ones. There were a few familiar faces; the kids which I looked after back when I was a prefect in Primary School. Cheryl and Jing Yee's siblings were in this batch too.

I did spend a great day reminiscing the "good ol' days". But I did see some unpleasant people there. But after that day, I have finally decided to let it go. He and Her may not have made my life in school a good one, but I'm fine with them now, so long as they keep their distance. I hate making enemies, and I would never treat anyone with disrespect, unless they do the same to me. But I guess it's not worth it, after all, wouldn't you be like them if you treated them like how they treated you?

So to the Him and Her, let's bury the past okay? I am sure I have.

Day Out with Momz

Had an awesome day out with my mother.

Well, the outing was supposed to be planned for last Friday, but my mum had work, and my brother was reporting back to Civil Defence, so it was cancelled.

The plan was supposed to be carried forth to Monday, but dumb me, having the "Twilight" sleeping time, could not wake up on time.

So it was brought forth to today!

I did bump into some friends while at Bugis; Atikah, Affifah and Jody (but I don't think she recognized me).

Well, the day went smoothly, and as always, my mum and I spent more time laughing at the people walking past us, more than actually doing shopping.

We explored the whole of Bugis, and even headed to Kinokuniya. But we left shortly, after a staff accused me of copying things from the book using my handphone. I was only text messaging!

Oh well, the day ended with a somewhat funny incident. You see, my mum holds my ATM, because I feel that she should have the freedom to withdraw the amount she needs from my account. Besides, I don't use the ATM Machine at all.

Anyway, she withdrew some money from my account, and took the receipt with her. I was already walking towards the escalator, when she, out of the blue, pulled me aside. She showed me the reciept and with 'eyes all sparkly' said: How come you have $300 extra in your account?

And before I could answer her, she dashed back to the ATM Machine, to recheck it. "Yes, you do have $300 extra!"

She then went on and on about how people sometimes would accidentally key in the wrong account number, and then it would get transferred wrongly and stuff. She then asked what should we do, report to the police or what else....

It was funny watching my mum getting all excited about it, but I didn't want it to procceed any further. And so, I had to burst the bubble. "It's my pay lah.. remember I worked 5 days in December? That's the pay loh. Wah lao, think until so far, later hyperventilate ah".

My mum faced changed immediately. "Chey, say earlier lah, I thought you so lucky".

And with that, we headed back home, with me constantly making fun of how she exaggerated on the whole issue. She swears to get her revenge. Well, we'll see.

Talents

I caught the first episode of Campus Superstar 2009 today. I must admit, this year's batch is very talented! And to make the show even special, there is actually a Malay contestant! Shera should have joined too.

I really like how the show was done. And I am supporting the guys this year, even though there isn't a gender competition going on. I must say my favourite is the Chinese guy. The plump one. But I don't really like his habit of licking his lips while singing.

And I think the rocker chick who sang with Geraldine, has a really nice voice too!

Who are you supporting?

I am unhappy!

I have only been away for a week and I totally missed two important events; friends gatherings! To make matters worst, I didn't even have a chance to see Shera before she left for Malaysia!

I miss everyone!

And I miss 888's Ba Chor Mee!

And I want to catch "Yes Man", "InkHeart" and "BedTime Stories" and all the movies listed here!

I want to visit the library! But I've yet to pay the $50++ fine because some idiot stole my card and never returned the books he/she borrowed. Thus I have to pay the fine for the lost books.

And I want to walk around aimlessly, all over Singapore!

I want to eat Tang Yuan! And Muah Chee, and Tiong Bahru Plaza's Lor Mee!

I want to go shopping, since everyone's in school, making it less crowded!

I want to play volleyball!

I want to do so many things and I know I can do them. But it feels really stressful when you can't spend money free-willingly, having to contemplate on your wants and needs

Goodbye 2008. Hello 2009

Photobucket

Goodbye 2008. Thank God you're finally gone. You've been the suckiest year ever.

I must say that 2008 did allow me to have some fun like

  • Having a closer bond with my class; Achievers of 2008.

  • Having great friends

There are of course many others whose photos isn't here. But you must understand, I'm not a photo kind of person, and I do regret it alot. But you're loved just as much as them (above). People like my volleyball teammates, coach, Ms Janay Lim, Ms Lynn Choo, Mr Soh, Mr Ben, Mdm Su, Ms Serene, Ms Lim Hui Qi, Ms Toh, Mdm Yap, Mr Fan, Mr Ni, Mdm Timah, Mr Kheng, Mdm Dzarina, Syuhada, Raudah, mak nenek Jeanice, Jia Min and so on . Like I said, there are many others who aren't named here. If I did name all of you, this post would never end.

  • Like being able to attend and win events like a "Youth Blogger Finalist" and being able to catch movies with the Big Time Bloggers of Singapore.

I am really appreciative for all these things. But time and again, I can't help but feel that "Someone up there" is testing me. Sometimes I feel so fed up that tears just flow in frustration. Don't get me wrong. I don't want to sound all emo, nor do I want anyone's sympathy. This isn't a post of a attention seeking girl who uses stress to claim attention. Heck no.

Well, I haven't been very happy ever since I lost my companion of 11 years. Yup, my dog. Well, it hit me real darn hard. Having to cradle her while she slowly fade in and out of consciousness, with a bloody nose, on Christmas Eve last year. Then to only see her slowly fade away at home this year. I thought she would last longer. But I was wrong.

Losing my dog wasn't the only f*cked up thing that happen. There were many incidents where I almost lost my Life due to many reckless drivers. Impatient ones as well.

Then I almost did not make it on my studies, I only passed two subjects in my Prelims. Really disappointing, but it was mainly because of my health, which leads to another point.

I found out that I was suffering from stress due to problems at home. I also found out that I have high blood pressure, and would often have headaches, unless I can reduce my stress. And to make things worst, I am allergic to Panadol.

Well, I must say, that depression did hit me hard this year. With the constant misunderstandings in school, with teachers and friends. Then there are those at home. Sometimes it feels really sickening to be placed in situations where there is no where to turn to.

I wouldn't mind listening to my friend's problems and of course, to help them solve it. But time and again, I wondered "why am I helping them when I can't even solve mine?".

Maybe it sounds selfish. But I have turned down anyone who needs someone to talk to. I always try my best to make them smile again. But sometimes it hurts to much, to do something for someone and not feel appreciated. Am I caring for the wrong people? Or am I doing it all wrong? I have no idea. But what I do know is that It sucks.

Oh well, at least I still have my family, and a roof under my head.

Well, I don't really do New Year Resolutions nor Birthday wishes. But this year's a new year, so what the heck.

For my new year resolution:

  1. I want my family to not worry about money matters.
  2. I want everyone to be in the pink of health.
  3. I want to make it to the course of my choice :Child Psychology
  4. I want to be happier
  5. I want to be able to play volleyball with my team again.

Well the new year has finally arrived. And all I want to say is:

To my family and my true friends, those who have been by my side when I needed you most, Thank you so much and I do love you!

To those whom I have insulted or did things to hurt you, I am truly sorry. Please do forgive me.

Well, 2009 bring it on!
